Yinchuan, 26 Sep (Xinhua) -- Chen Zhu, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the first China (Ningxia) International Wine Culture Tourism Expo on the morning of 26 September.
Chen Zhu said that the China (Ningxia) International Wine Culture Tourism Expo is a major mission entrusted to Ningxia by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and is currently the first national-level exhibition with wine as the theme in China. He pointed out that it is necessary to build a national-level grape and wine industry open development comprehensive pilot zone in Ningxia as the carrier to actively promote the "going out" of Chinese wine and wine culture. It is necessary to adhere to green development, incorporate the development of the wine industry into the national strategy of ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, and form a development pattern of spatial integration, content extension and complementary functions of industrial areas, ecological areas and tourist areas.
The expo was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries of Chinese, and the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
