On September 8, the surging news noted that the official website of Beijing Forestry University updated the list of "current leaders", and Cheng Wu, director of the Party and Government Office of Beijing Forestry University, has been promoted to a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Beijing Forestry University.

According to the official website of Beijing Forestry University, Cheng Wu, born in May 1975, Sichuan, Han ethnicity. Joined the Communist Party of China in October 1998, Master of Laws, Associate Researcher.

From September 1995 to July 1999, Cheng Wu studied forest protection at Beijing Forestry University, and stayed on to work after graduation. In October 2001, he was appointed deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of the University (at the level of a full subject), in March 2003 he was appointed as the general secretary of the Youth League Branch of the College of Resources and Environment, in June 2005 he was appointed as the deputy secretary and vice dean of the Party Committee (General Branch) of the College of Resources and Environment, and in March 2007, he was appointed as the deputy director of the Enrollment and Employment Office (during which time, he served as the deputy director of the Student Department of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission from July 2011 to July 2012; and obtained a master's degree in law from China University of Political Science and Law in January 2008). Since May 2013, he has successively served as the executive director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Forest Breeding (at the level of the department), the director of the office of the Financial and Economic Leading Group, the chairman of the board of directors of Beijing Linda Asset Management Co., Ltd., and the director of the Party and Government Office. In July 2021, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Beijing Forestry University.
