The suspect, named Singh, is the son of a retired Indian army colonel. Singer and his fiancée, Chupindpal, got engaged in March last year and were scheduled for the wedding on the 20th of this month. Just a week before the wedding, he deceived his fiancée into saying that "when inhaled nitrogen it glows," which eventually led to her death. Afterwards, he hid the victim's body in his bedroom and told her family that Chupindpal had run away from home because of a fight with him.
During the interrogation, Singh revealed that he had killed his first wife in the same way. In February 2018, Singer married Kaul, who has three master's degrees. At midnight on September 19, pregnant Kaul was brutally killed by Singer. The suspect lied to the victim's parents that he had died of a heart attack caused by cancer. Singer told police that he "felt trapped" and killed his fiancée and ex-wife. The case is currently under investigation.
