Xie Jueya, the fifth elder of Yan'an, was the president of the Supreme Court, but his son planted land in the countryside all his life

author:Ancient and modern history

In January 1950, Xie Jueya's two sons in Hunan wanted to visit their father in Beijing, but they were too shy to pay for the trip. So he wrote to his father for help, hoping that his father could support him, or find a way to find a "free ride".

As a result, Xie Jueya could not come up with this money, and could only reply to his son with a letter, which read: "Zigu, Lian Bo, the son wants to see the father, the father also wants to see the son, it is human nature." Now you are very poor, the north is a famine year, starving people, it is not easy for you to raise money for the road, and it is also a troublesome thing for you to come here and make food and housing for you. If you haven't gotten up yet, you can wait for me, and after the autumn harvest this year, I think the situation will be better at that time. Come and see me then, it's the same. ”

He deliberately emphasized: "There is no way to inquire about hitchhiking. Because anyone who takes the bus has to buy a ticket. ”

At that time, Xie Jueya was the minister of internal affairs of the State Council (later renamed the State Council), and the first minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs since the new China.

In 1884, Xie Jueya was born in Xiao Jiachong, Shatian Township, Ningxiang. At that time, it was the 10th year of Guangxu, and there were still fourteen years before the Penghu Reform Law.

The Xie family had a slightly thin family, and Xie Jueya himself had been a showman in the Qing Dynasty. At the age of 15, he married He Dunxiu and had 7 children, four boys and three girls.

In his 30s, Xie Jueya was influenced by revolutionary ideas and participated in the May Fourth Movement. In 1921, he joined the Xinmin Society and edited the Popular Daily and Hunan Minbao. In 1925, Xie jueya joined the Communist Party of China, sold most of his family's assets, and joined the revolution. He was 41 years old at the time. However, he resolutely left his wife and 7 children and went to various places to engage in revolutionary causes, which was more than thirty years apart.

Since then, he has left his hometown, from Changsha to Honghu Lake to Jiangxi, all the way to the topsy, born into death, has been hunted down by reactionaries several times, and then luckily escaped.

At the cost of the revolution, the family can only be put back. Xie Jueya once wrote in a letter to his wife, "Tired and bitterly missed, twilight returned to morning." Tired of rape, overnight or several shocks. The tired Ru family weighs and the thorns are supported bitterly. The letter was filled with thoughts and gratitude for his wife.

On the way to the road, I also dreamed of my hometown several times, "when I was in my hometown, the scenery was still faint", I missed my new grandson, and my young son who was still young when he left had grown up, "The child has passed the crown, and the young grandson is answering the door".

But still the original intention has not changed, "don't leave what is sorry, you do not live up to the original intention."

In 1934, Xie Jueya was fifty years old, the age when he could do a "big birthday" at that time, but he followed the Red Army on a long march. Needless to say, the body could not keep up with the bones, and almost died in the middle of the road. Even the leaders felt that it was a miracle to be able to successfully overcome the difficult disease and successfully reach Yan'an, and together with five other respected proletarian veterans, they honored him as the "Five Elders of Yan'an".

The revolutionary ancestors worked hard and finally won victory. In 1949, the Founding of New China was founded.

Xie Jueya first served as the Minister of Internal Affairs of the State Council, and later as the President of the Supreme People's Court and the President of The China University of Political Science and Law.

When the news reached their hometown, the villagers all said that the Xie family could produce a big official this time.

Everyone advised Xie Jueya's children to go to Beijing to join their fathers and let "Minister Xie" arrange a good job in the capital City, Beijing. It is best that even relatives and friends, villagers in the township can also give "arrangements".

At that time, New China had just been founded, and everything was in ruins waiting to be rebuilt, and as "Minister Xie", it could be said that it was easy to arrange a job for his children.

Who knows, the greeting called, but there was only a reply letter waiting for me, which said, "When you are eighteen years old, you have to rely on yourself to study and work, and your parents can't manage a lot", and said, "The road of not working and wanting to eat has been blocked." You think I can always find food here, but I am not an organ of labor production here! ”

Xie Jueya also wrote in the letter, "You will say that this official of mine is 'Jiao Guan' (Hunan dialect, referring to an official who does not earn money). 'Official' instead of 'Jiao', the world is in chaos, 'official' and 'Jiao' are gone, and the crisis is turned into safety."

He also wrote a poem on oil, "You say that I am a high official, and my official is like an old official of Zhou, who gets up early and sleeps late, and who can do more things is at ease." ”

Zhou Laoguan was a peasant in Xie Jueya's hometown, and the old society called "long-term workers", xie Jueya compared himself to the same work, but one worked for the landlords, and the other worked for the masses.

Xie Jueya's letter is not a "cover" for others to see. The eldest son, Xie Lianbo, once went to Beijing and mentioned the matter of "work" to his father, and Xie Jueya clearly replied: "The farmer still wants it." So Xie Lianbo returned to his hometown to cultivate the land and became a farmer all his life.

His son Xie Zigu also came to Beijing and asked for help in arranging a job in Beijing, and Xie Jueya replied: "The whole country has just been liberated, and people from top to bottom are needed, you have culture, or it is better to go back to your hometown to work." Xie Zigu then returned to his hometown to engage in education.

The same is true of Xie Jueya's grandchildren, most of whom are engaged in very ordinary work in the family farm, and none of them are high officials. Xie Jueya's grandson, Xie Lishi, worked as a farmer in his hometown all his life, while his grandson Xie Jinpu worked as a village teacher all his life.

Xie Jueya's great-grandson once mentioned in an interview, "Our brothers and sisters are very ordinary, and the deputy director of the education bureau in my district is the biggest 'official' in the family."

When Xie Jueya was in Yan'an, he was uncared for due to illness, and through organizational arrangements, he married Wang Dingguo and had several children. The children also went to school and worked through their own efforts. The most famous child is Xie Fei, who became a director. The other children are basically engaged in ordinary work, neither as a high official nor as a "boss".

Xie Jueya once said, "When a man attains the Tao, the chicken and dog ascend to heaven," that was what bureaucrats in the old society did! "We are Communists, and you are the children of the Communist Party." The Communist Party is the people's servant, and it is necessary to help the broad masses of the people to live a good life, work first, and enjoy later. ”

Xie Jueya did not assign work to his children, but also because he believed that there was only a different division of labor in work, and there was no distinction between high and low. This view, in the beginning, was also the truth that many people believed.

The revolution is not for the sake of the little family, but for the sake of everyone. A lifetime of dedication to the revolution is not to "seal the shadow of the wife", but to make the people live better. "To be able to do more is to be at ease" -- this is the spiritual consciousness of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries.
