Some merchants sell so-called pet blind boxes on e-commerce platforms, and in order to attract customers, they claim to sell high-value breeds of cats and dogs, in fact, not only the breed is not correct, but some are even sick cats and sick dogs.
According to the @Chengdu Love Home Animal Rescue Center, in the early morning of the 4th, the pet blind boxes that were being transported were stopped and transferred by caring people, and the police station and the mobile inspection department have intervened.
The live video shows the screams of kittens and puppies coming from the cargo box, and there is no air circulation after the door is closed. There are many cats and dogs dying, or even dead, dead kittens and puppies, left on the side of the road.
It is reported that at present, the animal inspection department has temporarily detained all cats and dogs in accordance with the law, and temporarily placed them and kept them for inspection.
According to the caring people involved in the rescue of animals, after testing, among the more than 160 cats and dogs found on the same day, a total of 7 animals have been found to be infected with animal infectious diseases, 2 suspected infections, and the complete test results can be obtained as soon as 6 days, and will be open to the public for "adoption" in the future.

Since May 5, Zhongtong Express Chengdu Lotus Pond outlets have suspended the express delivery collection business, conducted a comprehensive self-inspection, and cooperated with relevant departments to investigate; at the same time, the Sichuan Provincial Management Center of Zhongtong Express sent the person in charge of safety to suspend the inspection and deduct his annual performance bonus. ZTO Express sincerely apologizes to the public, the media and customers for this.
On May 5, according to the duty officer of the office of the Chengdu Postal Administration, the department has intervened in handling the matter, and the relevant details are currently under investigation and the results will be reported as soon as possible.
Pet blind boxes are nothing new
There are ambiguous areas in the transport of live animals
In fact, pet blind boxes are not new. Previously, there have been many "turtle blind boxes" and "hamster blind boxes" and other goods, and even white rats, scorpions, spiders, lizards and so on. Many people buy it as a pet, and some people say: "The moment the lid of the box is lifted, surprise and shock are possible."
Most of these pet blind boxes are delivered by courier. Due to the lack of inspection and quarantine, there is a possibility of disease transmission in such blind boxes during transportation.

However, using blind boxes of animals to base some people's happiness on the basis of animal pain and even loss of life is a departure from human nature and an alienation of entertainment.
