Yixing, a famous city in Jiangnan, is the hometown of the late erhu master Min Huifen, and the second Min Huifen Youth Erhu Art Exhibition has come to an end here.
The first Min Huifen Youth Erhu Art Exhibition, initiated by Ru Yi, a disciple of Min Huifen and professor of the Department of Folk Music of shanghai conservatory, was held in Shanghai last year, attracting more than 200 contestants. This year, the show attracted more than 700 applicants, and the contestants came from all over the country.

In the Min Huifen Art Museum, the contestants and experts followed min Huifen's life footsteps and approached the spiritual world of the erhu master.
Min Huifen was born in a small village with only 6 families. Here often come melodious Jiangnan silk bamboo, Southern Jiangsu blowing, beach spring, the country path walking folk silk bamboo band. When she was five or six years old, Min Huifen once walked more than ten miles with the Silk Bamboo Band unconsciously.
Here, people can see Min Huifen's childhood photos, the costumes she wore during her performances, the awards she won, the letters she wrote, and the creative process of each of Min Huifen's important works, including her research on the score of "Great Wall Caprice" in her hospital bed and the appearance of teaching on the sickbed.
In the Min Huifen Memorial Hall, there is a sentence written like this: "My pursuit of art is endless." I play the piano until the day I can't pull anymore, until the moment when I can't memorize the score. ”

The second Min Huifen Youth Erhu Art Exhibition Awards Concert was held at the Wanshi Town Cultural Service Center in Yixing City, and in addition to the piano children and parents, many nearby residents also heard the news and rushed to the scene.
The opening song is the repertoire "Harvest" brought by the Erhu Orchestra of Yixing Youth Activity Center. In 2013, Min Huifen learned that the children in her hometown were going to participate in the first children's erhu competition in Jiangsu Province, specially choreographed the teacher Wang Yi's work "Harvest", and rushed from Shanghai to Yixing to help the children prepare for the competition.
Today, these children are grown up. Zhang Jinque and Lu Haiyuner were admitted to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Lu Yixiao was admitted to the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, and Cha Sainan was admitted to Nanjing Normal University... This song also symbolizes the harvest of Min Huifen's erhu art exhibition for young children.

Shi Runyu won the Gold Medal in Children's B Group and played a song composed by Min Huifen in "Remembering Jiangnan". This song is based on Bai Juyi's "Remembrance of Jiangnan". In the music, the beauty of Jiangnan in childhood is vividly remembered: there are quiet villages, flying water wheels, melodious Jiangnan silk bamboo, and magnificent field songs.
Zhang Jingran, the winner of min Huifen's best performance, played "Honghu Theme Caprice". Composed in the late 1970s, this famous song was adapted by Min Huifen based on the opera "Honghu Red Guards" and "Watch the World's Toiling People Liberated". This work, which spread throughout the north and south of the river, marked the beginning of Min Huifen's practice of artistic erhu vocal cavity.
At the end of the performance, all the gold medal winners and students of the Yixing Erhu Association stepped onto the stage and collectively played the famous erhu song "Horse Racing", which vividly depicted a warm and jubilant scene of grassland horse racing, and also implied that the winning young players were just like galloping horses, leading to the palace of art.

Nearly 20 famous scholars from all over the country held a theme seminar in the Min Huifen Art Museum, focusing on the importance of erhu education for young children to inherit and develop Min Huifen erhu art.
Liu Hong, director of the Department of Folk Music of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, sighed: Seeing the place where Min Huifen has lived and the career she has achieved, she feels that the master cannot be copied. How does a master become a master? It lies in the fact that she never stops in her art, and the spiritual power brought by her art is endless. "We don't need 'Min Huifen Second', teenagers should inherit the spirit of the master under the inspiration of the master and grow into an artist like Min Huifen."

Min Huifen's disciple and erhu player Liu Guangyu also brought a unique master class to erhu learners and enthusiasts at the Wanshi Town Cultural Service Center, teaching Min Huifen's classic songs "Honghu Theme Caprice" and "Rivers and Rivers". Li Bofeng, winner of the "Golden Huqin" Award in the Junior B Group, said: "Teacher Liu vividly interpreted the different levels of "Rivers and Rivers" to us, from crying to crying to a stupid wooden chicken without tears, accompanied by occasional sobs... Today, the former residence of Min Huifen in Wanshi Town, Yixing, has been renovated, and the Min Huifen Art Museum and Min Huifen Cultural Park have been built nearby. In the distant Henan, Zhoukou Normal University built the Min Huifen Art Center and the Min Huifen Concert Hall. Min Huifen's husband Liu Zhenxue sighed that Min Huifen's artistic seeds sprouted in the countryside and were at the top of the city, and with the support of many parties, they are now in the pavilion.
