The year 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the official promulgation and implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, and the 20th anniversary of the comprehensive entry of road traffic safety work in mainland China into the track of rule of law. In order to enhance the people's awareness of civilization, rule of law, and safety, so that the majority of traffic participants understand, know, use, and abide by the law, on the morning of May 16, the Beibei District Traffic Patrol Police Detachment walked into the Beibei District Traffic Safety Publicity and Education Base to organize and carry out the theme publicity activities for the 20th anniversary of the implementation of the "Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China", and more than 60 people including representatives of passenger and freight enterprises in the jurisdiction participated.
The police gave a lecture on traffic safety such as speeding, overloading, drunk driving, fatigue driving, driving without a license, not wearing safety helmets, not wearing seat belts, and illegally carrying people for the drivers at the event site, informing them of the possible hazards and consequences, and warning the drivers to strictly abide by traffic laws and regulations, so that the alarm bell rings for a long time, put an end to all kinds of traffic violations, civilized driving, and safe travel. Subsequently, under the leadership of the police, 60 driver representatives visited the traffic safety knowledge and legal knowledge popularization area, walked into the "drunk VR experience area", "vehicle collision experience area", "vehicle rolling experience area" and other areas, experienced various simulated driving scenarios, and received traffic safety publicity and education to enhance traffic safety awareness by watching warning education videos and on-site simulation experiences.
Traffic signs, traffic simulation scenes, and traffic accident pictures make drivers deeply aware of the importance of complying with traffic laws and regulations, as well as the harm that violating traffic laws and regulations will cause to themselves and their families.
