May 15, 2024 is the 31st Iodine Deficiency Prevention and Control Day in mainland China, and the theme of this year's campaign is "Salt Iodization to Prevent Diseases, Balanced Nutrition and Health". In order to widely publicize the prevention and treatment policies of iodine deficiency diseases, effectively strengthen the publicity and popularization of iodine deficiency disease prevention and control knowledge, consolidate and expand the results of iodine deficiency disease prevention and control, and improve the people's awareness of iodine deficiency diseases, the health center of Jiuhu Town, Zouping City, has carried out knowledge publicity and consultation activities on the prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency diseases.
In order to do a good job in this publicity activity, our hospital made a theme publicity banner, posted posters in many eye-catching positions in the hospital, released iodine deficiency disease related knowledge on the hospital's official account on the day of the event, and called on the majority of employees to actively forward the circle of friends to expand the awareness rate. A consultation desk was set up at the entrance of the hospital, and pamphlets were distributed to the elderly and patients and their families who came for physical examination, explaining the relevant knowledge of iodine deficiency diseases, and the cumulative number of consultations reached about 50 people on the same day, and more than 100 leaflets were distributed.
Public health personnel patiently and meticulously explain the dangers of iodine deficiency and the relevant knowledge of iodized salt to the masses in the past, publicize the concept of scientific, civilized and healthy life, disseminate scientific health knowledge, and create a good atmosphere in the whole society that loves health, cares about health, understands health, and relies on science to achieve health goals, so as to improve the public's scientific understanding of health knowledge of iodine deficiency diseases.
