On the morning of May 11, the Hekou County Emergency Management Bureau and the relevant member units of the Office of the County Disaster Reduction Committee launched the 2024 National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Publicity Month publicity activity with the theme of "Everyone Stresses Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies - Strive to Improve Grassroots Disaster Prevention and Avoidance Capabilities" in Jiexin Garden.

At the event site, the staff popularized the knowledge of how to avoid natural disasters such as earthquakes to the masses by placing exhibition boards and distributing publicity materials, answered the questions of the masses about how to protect themselves in natural disasters and how to better survive after natural disasters, so as to help everyone better understand natural disasters and improve the ability of the masses to prevent natural disasters. After the event, Hekou Town also carried out disaster prevention and mitigation training for the relevant persons in charge of each village (community).

Through this activity, the public's awareness of risk prevention was further enhanced, everyone's emergency response ability and self-rescue and mutual rescue ability were improved, and efforts were made to create a good social atmosphere of "everyone stresses safety and everyone knows how to respond to emergencies".

According to statistics, more than 3,000 copies of publicity materials and more than 500 copies of publicity materials were distributed on the day of the event, and more than 30 people were trained.
