Teacher Hao Shengying, who was born in a scholarly family, was born in September 1931, has been teaching for 40 years, and is a retired teacher of Pingyao No. 2 Middle School. He has served as a primary and secondary school teacher, a school district principal, and the head of the art team of the county cultural center. When he was young, the three-foot podium raised peaches and plums, and a piece of chalk wrote spring and autumn; After retiring, he gave full play to his residual heat and took responsibility, and did not forget his original intention to make new contributions. Actively practice the concept of lifelong learning, and dedicate the people to serve the society with full enthusiasm. In 1986, after retiring from Pingyao No. 2 Middle School, he retired without rest, and served as the secretary general of the county veteran cadres association, cultural relics association, and gateball association, and more than ten primary and secondary schools hired him as an off-campus counselor. He was also the "seven-pin county master" when the county government museum was promoted, with one move and one style, and his voice was full of emotion, and he often won bursts of applause from the audience.
He initiated and organized the establishment of the "Association of Friends of Cultural Relics" to rescue the ancient temples of the Ming and Qing dynasties that were on the verge of danger; He once led students to climb the city wall, enter the barracks, enter the prison, and go to the old area, deeply practicing the core values of socialism; It has created the "County Princess's Ascension Performance" to boost Pingyao's cultural tourism industry to a new level. He has been supported in his old age, and he has achieved a lot in the past ten years. The anthologies "Schisandra", "Prism" and "Rainbow" edited by him can be described as a trilogy of traditional culture. At the same time, he also played the role of Lei Lutai, the first big treasurer of the Rishengchang ticket number, in CCTV's "World Heritage in China" column. From 1997 to 2013, he was awarded the provincial and municipal advanced individual in caring for the next generation five times. From 1990 to 2023, he has won the Advanced Individual of Retired Cadres, the Most Beautiful Five Elderly Love Award, and the Outstanding Dedication Award issued by the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Jinzhong Municipal Party Committee four times.

Last spring, teacher Hao Shengying sent a message saying that he had asked his fellow villagers to bring the newly published "Rainbow" anthology. I thought: civilization has been planted, and new life is coming with the wind. As a result, the spring breeze suddenly felt comfortable.
The 94-year-old teacher Hao Shengying is a well-known optimist and social activist inside and outside the ancient city of Pingyao. It's no wonder that his WeChat nickname is "Old Naughty Boy", and he has been called a rejuvenated "little offspring" by his colleagues in the local cultural circles in the past. It is precisely because he is active in thinking, old and promising, and very popular that in the streets and alleys of the ancient city of Pingyao, people will always see him riding a bicycle everywhere to visit relatives and friends, living a comfortable life and playing out of the realm. No, in the cultural lecture hall of the Research Institute of One City and Two Temples in Pingyao County, he explained the concept of health culture in simple terms on the podium, which benefited the audience a lot, and responded with bursts of warm applause.
In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Hao was introduced to the Shanxi Artists Association by Mr. Li Qun, a famous printmaker in mainland China, and his Chinese painting works won the first prize of the national commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. He was introduced to the Shanxi Provincial Literature Association by Mr. Li Shuwei, a writer of "Yam Egg Pie", and his manuscript "Founding Soldier Feng Zhenren" won the second prize of the National Retired Cadres Essay Award. Over the years, he has been awarded the titles of "Advanced Individual of Retired Cadres", "Model of Caring for the Next Generation" and "Excellent Off-campus Counselor" at the national, provincial, municipal and county levels. In recent years, he has been awarded the "Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council and the Central Military Commission, as well as the "Most Beautiful Five Elderly Love Award" by the Shanxi Provincial Customs Working Committee. At present, he is a member, director and consultant of 7 art societies, including the Chinese Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Research Association and the Qi Baishi Art Research Association.
Folk tales, beautiful legends, and allegories of wisdom that have been passed down by word of mouth and have flown through time and space are his favorites. He believes that this form of popular literature of the lower riba people is both down-to-earth and intriguing, and it can bring people wise philosophies and lead them into a rich and colorful world. He said that collecting and sorting out all kinds of legends and stories scattered among the folk is not only to excavate and inherit folk literature, but also to provide people with a kind of spiritual enjoyment after tea and dinner. He said with deep feelings: "In my lifetime, I must write down my thoughts and thoughts and respect to my relatives and friends in a truth-seeking manner, which is one of them."

Since there was a plan to publish the third anthology ten years ago, Mr. Hao, who is already in his old age, has begun to collect information. His son Hao Liang is his most powerful assistant, and his daughter Yaling and nephew Yang Xin sent him a computer for him to learn to use, but after all, he is in his eighties, and it is not so easy to operate. After several years of unremitting efforts, his handwritten manuscript has finally come out, which is the masterpiece of a ninety-year-old man!

No matter when, profound knowledge, good cultivation, civilized manners, elegant conversation, broad mind, and a heart full of love will surely make a person live beautifully enough. Society should have the scenery of reading books and newspapers
When Mr. Hao Shengying learned that he was awarded the 2024 National New Era "People's Learning Star with Particularly Touching Deeds" and the province's "People's Learning Star" in the new era, he said that he was just an ordinary person who loved learning since he was a child and could insist on lifelong learning.
His experience is that people are not born to know, and all their cultural knowledge, self-cultivation concepts, and work skills are acquired through continuous learning. Reading history wisely, reading medicine is foolish. Zhu Xi, a great Confucian in the Song Dynasty in the mainland, once proposed: "There is nothing to learn, no time to learn, no place not to learn, and the road to success is also."
