On the occasion of the "5.12" International Nurses Day, Qianwei County People's Hospital launched a series of activities for the Nurses' Day, aiming to carry forward the spirit of Nightingale, show the energetic and enterprising spirit and professional demeanor of the hospital's nursing team, and encourage all nursing staff to keep in mind their original mission and provide better services.
On May 9, Qianwei County People's Hospital held a nursing quality case reporting competition with the theme of "Economic Effectiveness of Nursing - Strengthening the Foundation, Improving Quality, and Promoting Development".
Duan Yongjian, member of the Party Committee and vice president in charge, delivered a speech, wishing all the nursing staff of the hospital a happy holiday and thanking the nursing team for their great contribution to the development of the hospital. It is hoped that through this competition, all employees will participate in improving nursing skills and business learning, effectively improve the quality and safety of hospital nursing, and continue to improve the medical experience of patients.
The case report competition covers multidisciplinary quality improvement projects such as "Improving the Standardized Prevention Rate of Venous Thromboembolism", "Using PDCA to Improve the Standardized Writing Rate of Nursing Documents", "Reducing the Slippage Rate of Steel Needles of Indwelling Needle Joints in the Process of Intravenous Infusion", and "Improving the Qualified Rate of Instrument Cleaning Quality". The contestants were full of energy, enthusiasm, clear and fluent language, and made a wonderful display from the aspects of topic selection background, implementation process, and results, combined with PPT presentations of Gantt chart, Plato, and fishbone diagram, and reported the highlights of the scene, highlighting the excellent professional quality of the nursing staff, and fully demonstrating the quality improvement projects of their respective nursing teams.
Luo Xuan, director of the Nursing Department, commented on the competition, affirmed the achievements of each participating project and the good style shown by each team, and put forward opinions and suggestions on the existing problems, hoping to promote reform through the competition, continuously improve the quality of nursing services, and promote nursing work closer to patients, clinics and society.
