Place the tool
The Place tool allows you to place objects efficiently and intuitively on the surface of existing scene elements, and to easily scale and rotate elements using handles. You can even place objects directly from the Asset Browser and interactively duplicate them, then place them in the scene. Objects are automatically placed according to their bounding box or defined axes, with an optional offset.
Scatter pen
With a simple drag in the view, the Scatter Pen makes it easy to spread a single object or a selected object onto any surface. You can control the spacing and alignment of each object, the frequency, and change the position, rotation, and scale of the placed objects. Draw randomly distributed or clearly defined strokes. Drawing too much or in the wrong place? No problem, just use the Remove tool to clean up the scene or use the Place tool to move objects individually.
Dynamic placement
Dynamic placement provides the ultimate option to intuitively place objects into the scene, with high-performance dynamics that provide real-world collisions between objects. Using the Dynamic Placement tool, objects can be grouped together or fall naturally on the surface of the object, which is the power of 4D physics simulation. Simplified proxy geometry will automatically perform fast and accurate dynamics.
