The morning dawn dewed, and the early morning in the south of the Yangtze River was shrouded in a light veil-like mist. The distant mountains are like daisies, and the water near is full of smoke, as if an ink painting scroll is slowly unfolding in front of you. I stood on the small building by the river, looking at this dreamlike scenery, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia for the past.

"The misty rain and the river flow, the years are quiet and good. "I whispered, as if I could hear the wheels rolling and the horses' hooves in that distant time, but I never imagined that one day there would be a miracle called the "highway" in this ancient land.

During the Republican period, although China's transportation had made great progress, the concept of highways was far from universal. However, in my mind, I often longed for the scene where vehicles were speeding along wide, flat roads, lined with lush trees and golden wheat fields, where people could travel more easily, promoting economic prosperity and cultural exchange.

"If there is a highway in this era of the Republic of China, what kind of grand scene it would be!" I thought to myself.

One day, I happened to read an article in an old newspaper about the future of transportation. In the article, the author boldly predicts that in the future, China will have a network of highways extending in all directions, and people can travel through thousands of mountains and rivers in a short time by car, realizing the dream of "returning thousands of miles of Jiangling in one day".

This article was like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, causing ripples in my heart. I began to imagine what it would have been like if there had been a highway in the Republic of China.

So, I decided to do it myself and draw a sketch of the "Republic of China Expressway Ranking" according to the geographical conditions and traffic needs at that time. I chose several important cities as the starting and ending points, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, etc., and then mapped out possible highway routes according to the straight-line distance between them and the terrain conditions.

Of course, it was just a pure imagination and an attempt, but I enjoyed it. Whenever I finish a route, I imagine the car speeding down the road, and my heart is full of longing and anticipation for the future.

However, when I showed the sketch to my friends, they were mostly puzzled and mocking.

"What are you doing here?" asked a friend puzzled, how could such a thing be in our time?, a friend asked, puzzled.

"yes, I know it's just a fantasy. I smiled and replied, "However, I feel that we should have dreams and pursuits." Even if this dream seems impossible to achieve now, as long as we continue to work hard and explore, it will become a reality one day. ”

My friends listened to my words and fell into deep thought. They may not fully understand what I'm thinking, but I can feel the shock and empathy in their hearts.

With the passage of time, my sketch of "Republic of China Highway Ranking" gradually spread in the circle of friends. More and more people are paying attention to this topic and are putting forward their own suggestions and ideas. Some suggested adding more lines and nodes, while others suggested that the maintenance and maintenance of roads should be emphasized.

I was inspired by these suggestions and ideas. I realized that while we can't really build a highway network right now, we can start thinking and planning now. We can lay a solid foundation for future highway construction by improving existing traffic conditions and strengthening infrastructure construction.

In the process, I also made many like-minded friends. Together, we discuss transportation issues and share ideas and insights with each other. Although we are in different fields and backgrounds, we all share a common dream: to make China's transportation more convenient, efficient and safe.

Time flies, and in a blink of an eye, it is the last year of the Republic of China. Although my sketch of the "Republic of China Expressway Ranking" is still only a fantasy work, I can proudly say that we have made many efforts and contributions to the construction of highways in the future. Our roads are smoother and wider, our transportation is more convenient and efficient, our infrastructure has been greatly improved and upgraded, and our societies have become more prosperous and progressive.

Looking back on the past and looking forward to the future, I am convinced that in the near future, expressways will become a reality on Chinese soil. At that time, we could drive a car along the wide and flat road, enjoy the beautiful scenery among the great rivers and mountains of the motherland, and feel the changes of the times. And all this is inseparable from the efforts and struggles of our generation.

"The misty rain is misty, the river flows, the years are quiet, and the feelings are long. I whispered this poem again, and my heart was full of anticipation and longing for the future. I believe that as long as we continue to work hard and explore, China will be more beautiful and prosperous in the future!
