The J-15 "Flying Shark" is an important achievement made by China's aviation industry on the road of independent research and development. The fighter is based on the in-depth research and understanding of Ukraine's Su-33 fighter technology, combined with China's existing aviation industry base and actual combat experience, and was developed and optimized by China Shenyang Aircraft Industry Group (hereinafter referred to as Shenfei) on the basis of the domestic J-11 fighter.
During the development of the J-15, China obtained the prototype of the Su-33 and related technical data from Ukraine, which provided an important reference for the design of the J-15. Through the digestion, absorption and re-innovation of the Su-33 technology, China's aviation industry has successfully achieved a number of technological breakthroughs on the J-15, making it one of the important equipment of China's naval aviation.
The J-15 uses advanced aviation technology and design concepts to provide excellent combat performance and reliability. It is equipped with advanced radar, electronic warfare systems, and weapon systems, and is capable of performing a variety of combat missions, including air superiority struggle, sea strikes, land attacks, and more. At the same time, the J-15 also has good take-off and landing performance and carrier-based adaptability, and can safely take off and land on aircraft carriers of the Chinese Navy, providing strong air support for the Navy.
