On the morning of April 29, the 2024 Innovation China Seminar with the theme of "AI+" was held in Yangpu. Zhou Haiying, Deputy Secretary of Yangpu District Party Committee and District Mayor, Zhang Hongtao, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Shi Fang, Deputy Mayor of Yangpu District, and more than 120 experts, scholars and entrepreneur representatives from domestic and foreign science and technology, industry and investment circles attended the seminar.
With the theme of "AI+", this seminar focused on the cutting-edge applications and future development of artificial intelligence in the fields of material discovery, high-end manufacturing, microgrid optimization, etc., as well as the construction of artificial intelligence industry ecology, aiming to promote the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, and build a cooperation platform for the docking of "AI+" innovative technologies and industrial resources.
Zhou Haiying extended warm congratulations to the convening of the 2024 Innovation China Seminar. He pointed out that artificial intelligence, as an important driving force for a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, is profoundly changing our production and lifestyle and economic and social development pattern. At present, Yangpu is starting again around innovation and development, relying on the advantages of rich scientific and educational resources and active innovation atmosphere in the region, making every effort to strengthen the ability to curate innovation, keep up with the cutting-edge trend of artificial intelligence development, deepen the collaborative innovation of government, industry, academia and research funds, and strive to make more "flowers of scientific research" bear "fruits of industry". At the same time, we will strive to build a "1+2+3+4" innovative modern industrial system dominated by the digital economy, give full play to the "multiplier effect" of artificial intelligence empowering thousands of industries, and continuously cultivate and develop new quality productivity. It is expected that this seminar will contribute more new ideas and strategies to the development of the artificial intelligence industry, and provide more new directions and new paths for the economic and social development of Yangpu and even Shanghai. Yangpu will also make every effort to create a livable environment for business, do a good job in service guarantee with heart and affection, and work with experts and entrepreneurs to achieve win-win development and create a better future in Yangpu, a hot land of innovation.
Zhang Hongtao said that at present, Shanghai is focusing on the implementation of goals and tasks in accordance with the deployment of the National Conference on the Promotion of New Industrialization, and exploring the construction of a "(2+2)+(3+6)+(4+5)" modern industrial system. In the face of a new round of outbreak in the field of artificial intelligence, Shanghai has carried out the "AI+" action in depth, made every effort to deepen the layout, optimize the ecology, support the system, and cultivate enterprises, accelerate the construction of intelligent computing power clusters, strengthen high-quality corpus operation services, promote the iteration of large models in vertical segments, cultivate and incubate a number of new enterprises, and create super application scenarios. In the future, Shanghai will continue to increase support in the field of artificial intelligence, promote the in-depth application of artificial intelligence in all walks of life, and continue to promote artificial intelligence to empower new industrialization.
At the event, Shi Fang awarded the plaque to the Shanghai Strategic Emerging Industry Development Foundation, an innovative ecological partner of the artificial intelligence industry chain in Yangpu District.
At present, Yangpu has gathered nearly 500 artificial intelligence enterprises, and built 14 artificial intelligence and big data (cloud computing) industry innovation bases, including KIC World, Changyang Chuanggu, Internet Treasure Land, and Cloud Base, with a total carrier area of 660,000 square meters, and has successively issued the "Three-year Implementation Plan for the New Digital Track in Yangpu District (2023-2025)" and "Several Policies for the Agglomeration and Development of Online New Economy Industries in the "Changyang Xiu Belt" to support the accelerated development of the artificial intelligence industry. In the next step, Yangpu will take the opportunity of creating a national digital economy innovation and development urban area to consolidate the basic advantages of the development of the online new economy, focus on subdivided fields, coordinate factor resources, expand and strengthen the artificial intelligence industry chain, make every effort to launch the Yangpu "digital" brand, and promote Yangpu's high-quality development level.
