However, after Vietnam won the war, it began to become arrogant and began to provoke the mainland, so our country decided to teach Vietnam a lesson, but in just 28 days, we hit the city of Hanoi with lightning speed.
So, why did the United States, as a world power, have high-precision weapons and Vietnam go on for many years? Why did our country take Vietnam in only 28 days?
U.S.-Vietnam War
Some people may wonder if the United States and Vietnam did not seem to have any grievances and hatreds at that time? Why did the United States and Vietnam start a fight when they said they would fight?
In the eyes of our modern people, this is indeed the case, but when we understand the pattern of the world at that time, we will find that the war between the United States and Vietnam also has a certain inevitability.
The U.S.-Vietnam War began in 1959, when the United States and the Soviet Union were competing for hegemony, and the United States and the Soviet Union were developing their own forces around the world.
At that time, Vietnam was divided into South Vietnam and North Vietnam, and the Geneva Conventions stipulated that Vietnam was divided into two with 17 degrees north latitude as the dividing line, North Vietnam was led by Ho Chi Minh, and South Vietnam was led by Emperor Bao Da.

But a country is divided into two regimes, which makes it difficult for many people to accept, so North Vietnam wants to unify South Vietnam, but how can the United States be willing, if North Vietnam unifies the whole of Vietnam, then the whole of Vietnam is not a red regime?
Later, Vietnam began to wage war with the United States, and at the beginning of the war, the United States did not take this war too seriously, and it is indeed understandable that the United States had such arrogance at that time.
After all, the United States was the most powerful country in the world at that time, and even its weapons in combat were much more high-end than those of North Vietnam, but what they didn't expect was that there were too many mistakes in the middle, which made the United States unable to bite Vietnam for a long time.

First of all, although the United States supported the South Vietnamese regime, the South Vietnamese soldiers trained by the United States were suitable for large-scale operations, and at the beginning of the war, American soldiers frequently won victories, while South Vietnamese soldiers did not seem to have much sense of existence at this time.
Isn't this a blow to the South Vietnamese soldiers? However, there is another situation on the American side that was not clearly predicted at the time, and on the plains, many weapons of war can still be used.
However, in the mountains and forests, such an advantage of the US military will be greatly weakened, and the Vietnamese rely on their petite bodies smaller than the American GIs to shuttle through the mountains and forests, and once the Vietnamese find that they cannot fight, they will quickly flee.
When the time is ripe, they will run out and deal a fatal blow to the US military, which makes the US military very annoyed, and many people in the United States have become war-weary during the long war.
After all, there are many family members of the American people who lost their lives in the Vietnam War, and this is only one of the reasons, and there is another important reason, that is, the United States feels that it is not a problem to spend so much time on the battlefield in Vietnam.
After all, to fight a war, it is necessary to burn funds, and when the United States has been fighting in the Vietnam War, but its return is very small, the United States will not have the heart to continue fighting.
On the Vietnamese side, the people of the whole country were mobilized, and when the war started, they also dared to fight hard, which made Vietnam hold on for a lot of time.
So in 1975, the U.S.-Vietnam War ended, and in January 1976, Vietnam became a unified country......
Self-defense counterattack war against Vietnam
However, after the reunification, Vietnam began to rely on the support of the Soviet Union and began to frequently provoke our country, and at that time our country could have helped them with a lot of supplies.
Not only that, but we also taught them a lot of tactics and helped them build some industrial facilities, you must know that at that time, all walks of life in our country were also in ruins, and it was quite righteous to be able to do this for them.
When we learned about the provocation of our country by the Vietnamese team, many people were angry, and finally, we decided to give them a little color.
So on February 16, 1979, the People's Daily published an article - "Is it tolerable, but it is intolerable", and many countries were shocked by our decision.
This is because no country has ever notified others before attacking them, and the citizens of our country were also excited when they learned that they were going to carry out a counterattack against Vietnam.
Many young people began to participate enthusiastically, and many veterans asked for demobilization, and when the soldiers of our country went to the battlefield, many of them were very brave, even in the face of death and danger, the soldiers of our country did not flinch.
Although Vietnam has a home advantage, they have a lot of tactics, but we personally taught them back then, how can the apprentices beat the master? Therefore, Vietnam does not have an advantage in this regard.
Before Vietnam could react, we had already conquered the city, and after 28 days, our country had already reached Liangshan.
It stands to reason that if we continue the attack, it will not be a matter to take Hanoi, but for various reasons, our country finally chose to retreat.
Impact on Vietnam
But thinking about the aid we gave to them at the beginning, we were not very willing, we relied on our country's aid, and we also learned our country's tactics, and our country also helped them build infrastructure, and they did this to us.
So when we retreated, we took everything we could take away what we had helped them, and as for what we couldn't take away, we tried to destroy it as much as possible, anyway, we couldn't leave the slightest thing we gave them at the beginning.
After that, the development of Vietnam began to become very slow, but this is what they deserve, everything they had at the beginning, we relied on our help at the beginning, since they don't cherish it, then we will destroy all this.
And we just got back what originally belonged to us, repaying grievances with virtue, how to repay virtue?
At that time, our country also lost a lot of people in the attack on Vietnam, and our country also took advantage of this opportunity to send our soldiers to experience this war......
