At the Albino Tea Famous Tea Competition held at the same time, 66 tea samples from 15 albino tea producing areas across the country passed fierce competition, and 6 tea samples stood out and won the gold medal, of which 5 were produced in Xianfeng.
At the opening ceremony, the People's Government of Xianfeng County and the China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation signed a strategic cooperation agreement, which will focus on the brand promotion of Xianfeng white tea, international exchanges and cooperation, technical assistance, industrial planning, tea products, market, financial consulting and other aspects of cooperation. Xianfeng County Agriculture and Rural Bureau signed a strategic agreement with Hubei SF Express Co., Ltd. to promote the economic upgrading and development of Xianfeng County's agricultural industry around "Xianfeng white tea out of the mountain and Xianfeng agricultural products on the rise". Tea enterprises from Fujian, Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Shandong and other places signed purchase agreements with tea enterprises in Xianfeng County.
As an important part of green tea, albino tea has always been loved by consumers. As a rising star, Xianfeng white tea has gradually become a dazzling new star in the tea family because of its long albino cycle, high albinocy, natural selenium content, "high ammonia and low phenol" and other characteristics, and is known as the tea "Bai Fumei" in the deep mountains of western Hubei Province.
In recent years, Xianfeng County, based on its resource advantages, has deeply practiced the concept of "two mountains", committed to the overall integration of tea culture, tea industry and tea technology, expanded tea production and processing enterprises, and explored a high-quality development road of selenium-rich tea industry with improved tea varieties, ecological tea gardens, standardized production and product branding, and was awarded the "golden signboard" of China's top 100 counties in the tea industry, China's white tea industry development demonstration county, and China's selenium-rich white tea county. The tea area of the county is 280,000 mu, including 145,000 mu of white tea, 125 tea enterprises have been cultivated, and there are green tea, black tea, white tea, rattan tea and other products, driving 150,000 tea farmers to steadily increase their income.
