In March this year, the police of the Changning Branch of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau found that a large number of suspected counterfeit LV brand pet products appeared on an e-commerce platform. On the details page of the relevant store, you can clearly see the pet flight box, pet kennel, pet leash and other products with obvious brand characteristics, and at the same time marked with the words "customizable". The police then suspected that a large number of counterfeits were being made and sold.
After contacting the brand, the police immediately sent the relevant pet products to a third-party testing agency for identification, and they were identified as infringing fakes. Through further research and judgment, the police quickly locked down the actual operator of the store, Li, and in the follow-up investigation, it was clear that the factory that produced fake goods was identified, and a criminal gang integrating manufacturing, warehousing and transportation, and marketing consulting gradually surfaced.
On March 6, 2024, the police went to other provinces and cities to arrest them, and successfully wiped out 8 people including Li and Xue, and seized more than 1,000 pet products with counterfeit registered trademarks on the spot.
After investigation, Li himself is engaged in the sales of pet products, but the sales have been mediocre. Later, he found that many well-known brands have launched pet products one after another, and the market response has been enthusiastic. Considering that his relative Xue's factory had the conditions to make similar products, he came up with the idea of counterfeiting to win sales.

After the initial trial production achieved good results, Li purchased a large number of raw materials and processed them through Xue's factory, and the genuine pet products with a price of tens of thousands of yuan were only 200 to 300 yuan in Li's store. In order to better sell to the outside world, Li also formed a sales team and opened stores on multiple platforms for sales.

At present, 8 people, including Li and Xue, have been taken criminal compulsory measures by the police in accordance with the law on suspicion of counterfeiting registered trademarks, and the case is being further investigated.
