How the bugs in the chestnut get in

Of course, this insect is not the only one that can enter the inside of the chestnut, there is another insect that is more common, that is, the chestnut moth. These are small insects of the family Leafcurler, and in mid-July, these moths lay their eggs, which lay next to the fruit of the chestnut or even directly on the shell of the fruit. These eggs hatch after about 10 days of hatching.
The larvae that first hatch will gradually begin to bite through the shell of the chestnut and eventually successfully enter the chestnut. They are examples of self-reliance and need to work hard to survive.
