Measuring 6.0 x 5.2 x 3.8 meters (19.7 x 17.1 x 12.5 feet), the new campervan will be powered by hydrogen fuel cells, complemented by solar panels, which can be recycled by converting wastewater into hydrogen and oxygen. It has an estimated range of 10,000 kilometers (6,200 miles) and will be used to explore the Antarctic region. Panasonic Energy opens a new battery production R&D facility in Japan, and Panasonic Energy has completed the construction of a new production development facility at its Sumitome Plant in Osaka, Japan. With a total floor area of 7,900 square meters, the new facility includes a pilot production and validation area designed to facilitate technology development aimed at scaling up next-generation processes.
