If there really was a way to bring the dead back to life, would you do whatever it took to resurrect a very important person?
Makoto Shinkai's work "Children Chasing the Stars" tells such a story.
Some people say that it is the obsession of the heroine Asuka at first sight, but in my opinion, the whole film is about a process of Asuka chasing herself.
Synopsis:
Asuka's father died when she was very young, and her mother was busy with work and neglected to take care of her.
Slowly, Asuka became a lonely child.
She likes to pick up useless little things and treat them like treasures, and the best relationship with her is a cat.
In the eyes of outsiders, she is self-disciplined, sensible, kind, and brave, but only she knows that she is lonely and lacks love.
Usually, Asuka's favorite thing to do is to run to the secret base on the mountain alone, and use the radio and an ore there to listen to music from nowhere until night.
Usually when you come home, there is no one, and tomorrow's dishes need to prepare their own dinner, eat, wash, and sleep by themselves.
When she returned home to brush her teeth that day, she saw a blue star flashing in the direction of the secret base on the mountain.
The next day in class, the teacher said in class that there were bears on the mountain and asked everyone not to come near.
But Asuka didn't think much of it, that mountain, the secret base there, was the most comfortable and reassuring place for her.
After class, Tomorrow's dish went to the mountain as usual.
On a bridge, she ran into a bear, but the bear was not what she was cognitively like, and in the right words, it should have been a monster.
The monster pounced fiercely on Asuka, and she was so frightened that she was stunned, trying to escape but it was already too late.
In a moment of danger, a boy appears and picks up Theobad and escapes.
After putting her to safety, the boy rushed towards the monster with the sapphire necklace in his hand.
The necklace emitted a huge amount of energy to kill the monster.
There was a train coming from the tracks of the bridge, and in order to avoid it, the boy jumped off the bridge with the dish of tomorrow in his arms.
When I woke up again, it was already at night.
The boy had been guarding the tomorrow's dish, and when he saw that she was awake, he left.
And Asuka also became interested in the boy he had just met.
On a new day, Tomorrow's dish came to the mountain as usual, and the boy sat at the door of her secret base.
The boy tells Tomorrow that his name is Instant, from Yagotai.
Seeing that the wounds on his body had not been treated, Asuka used his tie to bandage the wound for him.
Then she invited me to listen to the radio with me.
Asuka said that she had heard a mysterious music not long ago that hit her heart.
Hearing her description, he instantly realized that the music was sung by him, but he didn't say it.

The next day, it rained heavily. Asuka once again arrives at the secret base, but is not there for a moment.

At school, the teacher told the story of Izanagi and Izanami, about a man who went to Huangquan to revive his wife.
At the same time, the teacher mentioned various nicknames for Huangquan, one of which was Yagotai.
After school, Asuka finds her teacher and asks him about Yagotai.
The teacher gave her a book with a detailed account of it, and even the monster that attacked her that day.
The teacher tells Asuka that the monster is the guard of the entrance to Yagotai, and that an underground world named Yagotai exists.
Later, Asuka arrives at the secret base, where she meets a boy who is exactly like The Instant.
It was Instantaneous's younger brother, whose name was Letter.
As the two men talked, several heavily armed men appeared and demanded that the letter hand over something.
The letter escapes with The Dish of Tomorrow.
In the end, Asuka is held hostage by the soldiers, who let her take the necklace and open the entrance to the underworld.
After the entrance opened, the soldier took off his helmet and turned out to be the teacher of The Asuka Dish.
He wanted to enter Yagotai to revive his wife.
Shin gets his brother's lost necklace here and wants to return to his hometown, and Asuka enters the underworld with the teacher for some reason.
On the other side, Shin receives the leader's task of killing the two Asuka who have broken into the underworld.
After a series of difficult escapes, the teacher and Asuka arrive at the Gate of Life and Death in the Underworld, where the dead can be resurrected.
After the gate of life and death, the teacher summoned the god of resurrection, and his wife's soul was in front of him, but he could not touch it.
God asked the teacher to hand over a body that could be injected into the soul, and the teacher set his sights on the dish of tomorrow.
The soul is injected into the body of Asuka, and the letter that comes here tries to stop everything in front of him.
He said: The living are the most important.
Eventually, the letter interrupted the completion of the ceremony.
Tomorrow's dish woke up and set out on his way home.

We will be happy and miserable, but we must live, remember the deceased, cherish the living, and continue to live with loss.
Asuka regards the moment of only a few faces as a spiritual dependence, and she musters up enough courage to come to Yagotai and step through the door of life and death, perhaps just to say goodbye to the moment.
The instantaneous existence is special to the always lonely Asuka, who can do anything for this person who understands her at all costs.
But at the same time, the film also tells us that if we want to chase the stars in the sky, then we must be prepared to lose something.
