On April 24, before the opening of the Beijing Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz's pure electric Mercedes-Benz G-class made its debut, the new car is the first pure electric vehicle of Mercedes-Benz that is no longer named after the EQ series, the full name is G 580 with EQ Technology, and will be launched in China in the second half of the year.
Judging from the actual car drawing, the new car basically follows the design style of the Mercedes-Benz G-class in terms of appearance, but it has been optimized for pure electric vehicles in terms of details, the grille adopts a semi-closed design, and the flat air intakes are retained inside, with a certain sense of hierarchy, and LED light strips are added around to decorate it to enhance the recognition; The shape of the front hatch is still relatively tough, highlighting the sense of power.
The lower envelope adopts a three-section design, and the interior is decorated with a black honeycomb structure, bringing a strong sporty atmosphere and a sense of power.
In terms of side styling, there is basically no difference from the fuel version, the roofline is relatively straight, the waistline adopts a through-type design, which embellishes the layering of the side of the body, the wheel arches and side skirts are designed with raised trim plates, which makes the visual effect more burly, and the wheels adopt a blackened multi-spoke shape, which looks more atmospheric.
At the rear, the small bag has been retained, but instead of a spare tire, the interior is a separate storage space for loose items such as charging cables. The lower bumper section is equipped with stout bumpers with flat fog lamps integrated on both sides.
In terms of dimensions, the length, width and height of the new car are 4624/1931/1986mm, and the wheelbase is 2890mm, positioning it as a medium and large SUV.
The interior is no different from the petrol version, offering a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a continuous dual-screen and an electronic pocket gear, a handrail in front of the front passenger seat, and a large chrome trim on the center console to accentuate the sense of power.
In terms of space, it looks no different from the petrol version, with entertainment screens behind the front seats that can control the air conditioning and entertainment system.
In terms of power, the new car adopts a four-motor layout, with a combined maximum power of 432kW, a peak torque of 1164Nm, a 0-100 acceleration time of 4.7 seconds, and a top speed of 180km/h. The battery pack has a capacity of 116 kWh and a range of 570 km in the CLTC mode.
