On the evening of April 24, FAW Toyota officially announced that its new Prado model was launched, and the new car provides four configurations to choose from, with an official guide price range of 459,800 yuan to 549,800 yuan.
In terms of appearance, the new car follows the design style of the overseas version of the model, providing two styles of headlight groups to choose from, namely the square lamp version and the round lamp, the square lamp version is a low-end model, the style is more capable, and the round light version is a high-end model, with a stronger retro atmosphere.
The grille has a rectangular design, and the interior is decorated with a banner structure, surrounded by thick black trim panels, which have a strong sense of strength, and the front hatch is designed with raised ribs to bring a strong sense of muscle.
The lower bumper is equipped with a chunky black trim, the bottom is equipped with flat air intakes, the interior is decorated with a grid-like structure, and the front lip is equipped with a black scuff plate to give the visual effect a more domineering look.
In terms of side styling, the roofline is relatively straight, and the whole body feels more square, with a strong hard-core atmosphere; the waistline adopts a through-type design, which embellishes the layering of the side of the body, and at the same time makes the visual effect appear slender and atmospheric; the wheel arches and side skirts are designed with raised black trim plates, with black multi-spoke wheels to make the body look more burly.
The shape of the rear of the car is relatively simple, the tail light group adopts a vertical layout, and the internal structure has a strong three-dimensional effect, which is connected by black trim plates, which effectively stretches the horizontal visual width of the tail; the polygonal license plate frame area adopts a concave design, which embellishes the three-dimensional sense of the tail; the lower surround part is equipped with a thick black trim plate, which brings a strong sense of power, and the exhaust pipe adopts a hidden layout.
In terms of dimensions, the length, width and height of the new car are 4920/1980/1860mm, and the wheelbase is 2850mm, positioning it as a mid-to-large SUV. The low-to-mid model has a five-seat layout, while the high-spec model has a six-seat layout.
The interior follows the design style of the overseas version of the model, providing a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, LCD instrument cluster, floating center control screen and mechanical gear knob, which has a strong sense of power.
In terms of equipment, the new car comes standard with tire pressure display, automatic parking, hill start assist, rear axle differential lock, reversing camera, automatic LED headlights, automatic wipers, wireless charging for mobile phones in the front, proportional reclining of the rear seats, automatic air conditioning and rear exhaust air vents.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a diesel-electric hybrid system composed of a 2.4T engine and an electric motor, with a maximum engine power of 282 horsepower, a comprehensive maximum system power of 330 horsepower, and a peak torque of 630Nm, matched with an 8AT gearbox and a four-wheel drive system.
