From April 20th to 21st, the 2024 Information System Electromagnetic Cross Frontier Technology and Application Conference was held in the Western (Chongqing) Science City, where more than 200 guests, including academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, experts and scholars, community organizations and business representatives, gathered together to discuss the cutting-edge electromagnetic technology and application of 6G, aerospace integrated communication and information systems.

Yin Hao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said in his speech that as an important branch in the field of information technology, electromagnetic technology is of great significance to our life, work and social development.
He proposed that 5G/6G and satellite communications and their space-space-ground integrated networking, radar, remote sensing and telemetry and their space global information acquisition, positioning and navigation, situational awareness and new services in intelligent transportation and strategic resource allocation, etc., support the construction of an inclusive and intelligent human society, and meet the application needs of intelligent transportation, intelligent education, smart healthcare, smart industry, metaverse and other scenarios, all of which reflect the key role of related electromagnetic technology.

Zhang Yan, member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee of Chongqing High-tech Zone of Western Science City, said in his speech that Science City attaches great importance to the development of the information technology industry, adheres to scientific and technological innovation to lead industrial development, and accelerates the construction of a "3238" modern manufacturing cluster system supported by new intelligent terminals, software and information services, aerospace information and other technologies. "We sincerely invite all academicians, entrepreneurs, scientists, and entrepreneurs to enter the Science City, join hands with the Science City, take root in the Science City, and work together with us to become city partners and build a 'home for scientists and a city for entrepreneurs'. ”
At the meeting, nearly 30 experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, Sichuan University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Xidian University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications and other units delivered keynote reports focusing on topics such as 6G synaesthesia, storage and computing integration, emerging communication technologies, ultra-high frequency band communication technologies, and aerospace information technology, and carried out roundtable dialogues on topics such as aerospace integrated communication and space exploration communication.
Electromagnetic technology is the foundation of future industries such as satellite Internet and aerospace information.
In the Science City High-tech Zone, the scientific research institutes represented by Western Zhilian, Western Vehicle Network, and CITIC Zhilian, based on the innovative research of electromagnetic technology, have actively played the "head goose" effect, and have attracted more than 40 enterprises related to the intelligent networked new energy automobile industry, such as vehicles, key components, charging infrastructure, and intelligent networked vehicle demonstration operations, and the whole industry chain ecosystem has been initially completed.

As one of the three future industries cultivated by the Science City, the aerospace information industry is relying on Aerospace Xintong to successfully build the "Tianmu-1" low-orbit constellation and realize the in-orbit network operation of 23 satellites.
"In the next step, Science City will further focus on the upstream and downstream industrial chain of the aerospace information industry, widely attract and gather talents, technology, capital and other elements from all parties, accelerate the development of industrial clusters, actively cultivate new growth points, and further enrich the modern manufacturing cluster system.
