The Douyin Security Center said that since mid-February this year, there has been a clear upward trend in such fraudulent information, although the amount is not large, but it covers a wide range of groups, and the platform reminds users more than 200,000 times a day for such risks, but some users still suffer losses. Douyin reminds users to be wary of all kinds of stranger messages or group messages that are accosted on the grounds of winning a lottery or giving high-value gifts, and do not believe the information that concert tickets can be purchased through internal channels.
User Xiao A (pseudonym) received a private message from a stranger in March this year, asking him if he needed tickets for Jacky Cheung's concert, saying that he was an insider of the ticketing website and could buy them at a higher price. Subsequently, the other party asked the user to add social friends to chat in detail, and taught the user specific operations through voice. "I logged in to the ticket website step by step according to his requirements, until I talked to the customer service and made the payment. The QR code for payment is a personal account, and the so-called customer service said that there was no problem, so I didn't want to transfer more than 2,000 yuan out. The user said that he had not received the ticket information after payment, and when he asked again, he found that he had been blocked by the other party, and then realized that the website and customer service dialogue window that he logged in according to the voice instructions were fake.
The relevant personnel of the Douyin Security Center said that this kind of fraudulent information has always been the focus of the platform's crackdown, and since the beginning of this year, 15,000 shopping fraud accounts have been disposed of, and the risk warning in such scenarios is continuously strengthened. "Scammers take advantage of the psychology of some users who are eager to buy tickets, even if it is a price increase, private transactions, etc., some people will still be gullible. ”
Another user was liked and followed by the so-called "live broadcast room customer service", and privately messaged him to win the lottery in the live broadcast room, asking for mutual relations with the user. "Customer service" means that the prize is a high-value mobile phone, and users are required to add friends or join groups on other social platforms, and fill in the real information to get the mobile phone. "Then the other party said that there was a handling fee, and that all winning lotteries have this rule, and I was blocked immediately after the transfer.
