Red Star Community: Children's Go Class Edutainment and learning tradition
As a 5,000-year-old quintessence of China, Go has endured for thousands of years, as well as simple rules and many variations. In order to promote the traditional culture of the Chinese nation and cultivate children's hobbies, on the morning of April 14, the children's Go class of Hongxing Community, Jiefangmen Street, Xincheng District, started.
This course invited Ms. Ma Huiting, principal of the Nanhu Campus of Qingyi Chess Academy. Teacher Ma first taught the children to read chess scores, set up chess pieces, and then taught them concise formulas, so that the children could better understand the rules of Go.
She also introduced the basic knowledge of Go terminology, origin and development, basic rules, and number qi in simple terms. The children were enthusiastic and started a small game of Go under the guidance of the teacher. Some parents hope that such public welfare activities can be carried out in the community frequently, which is entertaining and educational, and is also of great significance to their children's education.
Xinyuan No. 1 Community: The elderly calligraphy class opened and 15 enthusiasts learned together
Calligraphy is an important carrier for inheriting the excellent Chinese culture. On the afternoon of April 11, 2024, the Xinyuan No. 1 Community Calligraphy Class officially opened, attracting 15 middle-aged and elderly calligraphy enthusiasts in the jurisdiction to participate.
Li Xiaoping, the secretary of the community, first introduced the teacher of this lecture, Mr. Hou Kanhu, a well-known calligrapher and painter from Shaanxi, who shared his insights and experiences in practicing calligraphy over the years. He started with holding the pen and moving the pen, and demonstrated the standard "five-finger pen holding method". The students gathered around Mr. Hou and listened carefully to the pen skills.
The purpose of this calligraphy class for the elderly is to provide a learning platform for calligraphy lovers in the jurisdiction and enhance the interaction between calligraphy lovers. In the next step, Xinyuan No. 1 Community will continue to optimize the mass cultural exchange platform, so that more residents can participate in it, enjoy the fun brought by various traditional cultures, and further meet the spiritual and cultural needs of residents in the jurisdiction.
