On April 12, 2024, the district-level project "Research on the Design of Practical Assignments of Primary School Mathematics "Graphics and Geometry" in Suining High-tech Zone" was successfully opened in the Experimental Primary School of Logistics Port in Suining High-tech Zone. Wang Fang, deputy director of the Department of Education, Sports, Culture and Health of the Social Affairs and Mass Work Bureau of Suining High-tech Zone, and other leaders attended, He Wei, a teacher from Gaosheng Street Experimental Primary School, Xu Yan, a teacher from Shunnan Street Primary School, and all members of the Hong Kong Primary School Research Group participated. Minister Wang Fang read out the notice of the establishment of the district-level project of Suigaoshe No. 2023 and No. 120. The target audience for the questions is all students in grades 1-6, so the corresponding goals and tasks should be identified for each period. It also puts forward opinions and suggestions related to the evaluation system of the project content, which are both specific and constructive, and places high hopes on the research group.
After Mr. Wang Wei elaborated on the "project ideas, research summary, research objectives and contents, as well as research measures and activities", the expert Mr. He Wei answered and commented on the relevant content of the project. He said that practical homework is the best way to solve the abstract problem of graphics and geometry for primary school students, through the process of hands-on and observation, so that students can deeply understand the process of knowledge formation, and can enhance the enthusiasm and cooperation of parents and students, and reduce writing homework. Especially in the first and second grades, when there is no written homework, practical homework can stimulate children's enthusiasm for learning and cultivate their vision of mathematics.
Starting from the structure of the project, the teachers of the expert group made a series of comments on the content and route of the project. From the logic of the questions that should be answered in the questionnaire to the identification of the core concepts, the content is simple and concise. During the period, the research objectives were interpreted and suggested in depth, and all members of the research group benefited a lot.
