Konami has announced the launch of Professional Baseball Spirits 2024-2025 for PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam) to celebrate the series' 20th anniversary. The game will be released in Japan in 2024.
About The game: Soul of Pro Baseball 2024-2025 is based on Unreal Engine and Konami's next-generation baseball engine, the eBaseball Engine, and supports up to four-player offline and two-player online multiplayer games.
Unreal Engine delivers next-generation graphics for the game, such as detailed and realistic hair and skin for the players, as well as rain that wets the court.
The eBaseball Engine creates an immersive feeling through the player's various movements and realistic stereo sound. According to Konami, the engine "takes the game of baseball to the next level by producing all the action and sound inside the ballpark, including the trajectory of the shots, the excited movements of the players, and the frenetic crowd."
In addition, using laser scanning technology, Konami is able to precisely measure the geometry around each pitch to reproduce an accurate pitch model in the game.
