In order to excavate the typical cases, advanced figures and demonstration practices that have emerged in the national reading work in Fengtai District, according to the requirements of the "Implementation Opinions on Deepening the Construction of Scholarly Fengtai in the New Era", in November 2023, ten projects will be solicited in the whole district, including outstanding reading promoters, scholarly families, scholarly communities, scholarly institutions, scholarly enterprises, scholarly campuses, brand reading clubs, characteristic physical bookstores, excellent reading promotion cases, and scholarly hotels, with 5 selection places for each project.
After bottom-up recommendation and selection, the review meeting will be held on November 30, 2023 and February 28, 2024, and the evaluation team will be composed of the Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee, the Working Committee of the District Organs, the District Education Commission, the District Culture and Tourism Bureau, the District Federation of Trade Unions, the Youth League District Committee, the District Women's Federation, and the District Library, and a total of 49 units and individuals will be selected for ten projects. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the school conscientiously implements the fundamental task of cultivating morality, guides and motivates teachers and students to love reading, read good books, and be good at reading, fully implements the "National Implementation Plan for Reading Action for Young Students", creates a good reading atmosphere, and actively creates a scholarly campus.
Under the leadership of the Party branch, reading will be included in the overall plan of the school as a key work, and the secretary of the Party branch will be the team leader, and a leading group for reading activities will be established, with full-time cadres responsible for formulating plans. The pattern of "goal leadership-step-by-step decomposition-activity refinement" was initially tried to make reading landing. The logistics director is responsible for the purchase and maintenance of books and reading equipment, and party members, teachers and students are responsible for their own cadres in charge of connecting party members' learning with book area management, teachers' school-based research and training, students' interdisciplinary practical learning, walking ideological and political courses, and home-school reading, which run through the semester.
The school regularly organizes and arranges "hand-in-hand reading", so that the senior students can give lectures to the junior students. In the teaching building, there are 1 to 2 public reading check-in areas on each floor and in each classroom, where students can read during recess, lunch break or after-school time, and the reading check-in place becomes a paradise for students; the "Happy Reading Bar" in the classroom extends the reading content to the outside of the classroom, and the parent-child reading extends reading outside the school, breaking down the barriers between inside and outside the classroom.
