According to the agreement in the award documents, the port of San Juan will be wholly owned and operated by Zhongrong Xinda Group. The port not only undertakes the function of transporting Banggou iron ore products under Zhongrong Xinda Group, but also undertakes the function of social services due to its superior geographical location, as well as the logistics hub of the entire region. The Port of San Juan is a privately invested public port located in San Juan Bay, 30 km northwest of the mine, as a supporting project of Banggou Iron Ore Mine. It is planned to build a 200,000-ton wharf with a wharf length of 375m, which can meet the needs of two 200,000-ton bulk carriers berthing on both sides at the same time. New iron concentrate powder yard, boxed copper concentrate yard, general cargo yard, diesel tank farm and related auxiliary and supporting facilities in the rear land area; It is equipped with 1 mobile ship loader and 1 feeding belt conveyor, 1 stacker and reclaimer, all with a rated capacity of 6000th. It can provide social service functions and undertake shipping services such as iron powder, copper powder, general cargo, liquid bulk cargo, etc.

It has successively hired well-known companies at home and abroad such as Tianjin Water Transport Engineering Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport and GAPASH to carry out special experiments and special studies such as wave digital simulation test, marine hydrological observation, topographic survey, tidal sediment and so on. MRA, a well-known Peruvian exploration company, was hired to carry out detailed exploration; The domestic first-class hydraulic wharf design institute CCCC First Harbor Engineering Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd. was hired to carry out and complete the feasibility study, basic design and detailed design of the port; The EIA of the project was launched at the same time, which was highly recognized by the community and strongly supported by the Peruvian government, and the EIA approval of the port was successfully obtained in September 2023. After repeated rounds of negotiations with the Peruvian Private Investment Promotion Agency, the two parties reached a preliminary intention of the concession contract in December of the same year, and performed the statutory publicity procedures, and finally obtained the unanimous approval of the Peruvian Private Investment Promotion Agency, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Energy and Mining, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the Ministry of Production, and agreed to award the contract and sign the contract.

The achievement of this important milestone marks the opening of a new chapter in the investment and development of the Banggou project after ten years of ingenuity of Zhongrong Xinda Group. It also marks that the Peruvian government's dream of opening up the central and southern resource transportation channel to the sea is about to become a reality.
