As HDC 2024 approaches, the industry is also looking forward to Huawei's upcoming developments. It is reported that Pangu Model 5.0 and HarmonyOS NEXT will be unveiled on the same stage for the first time, bringing more new possibilities in the field of intelligent ecology.
As can be seen from Huawei's official website, HUAWEI CLOUD is about to release Pangu Model 5.0, and will make its debut with HarmonyOS NEXT HarmonyOS Galaxy Edition, which will also become the largest developer conference in Huawei's history with the largest number of developer participants.
Since its launch, the HarmonyOS system has rapidly expanded to 800 million ecological devices, covering a variety of terminal devices such as mobile phones, PCs, tablets, smart screens, and car machines. Thousands of enterprises and institutions have launched the development of HarmonyOS native applications, including Alipay, Taobao, Meituan, JD.com, DingTalk, AutoNavi, Xiaohongshu, etc., demonstrating the extensive influence and application potential of the HarmonyOS ecosystem.

From April 17th to 19th, during the 21st Huawei Analyst Conference, Xu Zhijun, Vice Chairman and Rotating Chairman of Huawei, said that building a HarmonyOS native application ecosystem is the most critical thing for Huawei in 2024. Huawei hopes to migrate 5,000 applications that are used on smartphones for more than 99% of the time in the Chinese market to the HarmonyOS native operating system in 2024, truly unifying the operating system and application ecosystem.

In 2021, HUAWEI CLOUD released the Pangu series of pre-trained large models, including NLP (natural language) large models, CV (vision) large models, and scientific computing large models. In July 2023, at HUAWEI Developer Conference 2023, HUAWEI CLOUD released Pangu Model 3.0 to explore the practical application and value creation of AI technology in a wide range of industries.
To date, HUAWEI CLOUD has launched large-scale models for industries such as mining, pharmaceutical molecules, electric power, meteorology, ocean waves, railways, government affairs, finance, and manufacturing, contributing advanced algorithms and solutions to the industry.

At HDC 2024, Huawei will showcase the latest Pangu model 5.0 and HarmonyOS NEXT HarmonyOS Galaxy Edition. The two products are expected to further demonstrate Huawei's new thinking on the future intelligent ecosystem, bringing more possibilities to the AI industry from infrastructure to applications.
