Although Longping Hi-Tech does not yet sell soybean seeds in Brazil, the company has been investing in genetically modified soybeans and plans to sell related products in 2026. Last year, Longping Hi-Tech has opened R&D centers in Balsas, Maranhão, Formosa, Goiás and Río Verdi, and the R&D center in Rolandia, Paraná, is expected to be completed in 2024.

At present, Longping Hi-Tech ranks third in the Brazilian corn seed market, behind Corteva of the United States and Bayer of Germany, and ahead of Syngenta.
