Levels.fyi, the world's leading job website, has released a "2023 Annual Programmer Earnings Report", which is purportedly based on 200,000 programmer salary data, mainly reflecting the median total salary of programmers in 2023, which includes salary, stock value, and bonuses.
At the top of the list is Jane Street, an entry-level programmer at the quantitative trading firm, with an initial salary of $325,000.
Figma, the second-place design software company, offers $240,500 to junior engineers, about $80,000 less than Jane Street.
Investment firm IMC came in third with a salary of $240,000, gaming company Roblox was fifth with $238,120 and information company databricks was fifth with $230,500.
Which region pays programmers the most?
In the United States, the highest-paid region for programmers is San Francisco, with a median salary of US$249,000 (about 1.783 million yuan), followed by Seattle with a median of US$225,000 (about 1.611 million yuan), and New York with a median of US$185,000 (about 1.325 million yuan).
The salary of chief engineers in large North American factories is considerable
However, in terms of chief engineers, the North American manufacturers are still handy.
Principal Engineer (V) with more than 15 years of work experience are Facebook and Apple.
