A few days ago, representatives of salt farmers from Jinshan and Fengxian gathered in the "Canghai Salt Field" Salt Culture Museum in Caojing Town, Jinshan District, to talk about their own salt-making stories, show the ancient salt-making process, and interpret the wisdom and skills of salt people's lives. These old salt farmers are not only the witnesses of salt culture, but also the inheritors of salt culture, passing on the essence of salt culture from generation to generation.
Zhang Rong, who originally started a business in the urban area, came to Jiangzhuang Village, Caojing Town, by chance, and because she was very interested in the culture and history of Haiyan, she quickly rented an old factory in the village. After that, it took two years to go to the village to dig and sort out the historical materials, trace the changes of the Jinshan salt industry, and then carry out creative design, and finally built a salt culture museum worth savoring.
Walking into it, books, salt shakers, salt pans weigh ...... There are more than 300 pieces related to the history of salt culture. The museum also reproduces the multiple steps in the process of boiling salt in the sand table, such as opening up the beach, soaking in the sea tide, pouring ash and taking brine, frying salt on the brine, and mixing salt dryly, vividly restoring the real memory of "sea salt" to people. When Uncle Yu, an old salt farmer in Haiya Village, Caojing Town, saw these familiar salt-making tools and processes, he couldn't help but recall the life scenes and hardships of "headresting on the tide and boiling water to make salt".
The museum has built a digital platform for cultural tourism in the Yangtze River Delta, with a three-dimensional model to achieve all-round display, and create an online digital museum of salt cultural tourism across many places in the Yangtze River Delta. Up to now, the number of visitors to the digital platform of the Yangtze River Delta "Salt People" cultural tourism industry has reached more than 800,000, and at the same time it has served and cooperated with more than 50 units and coastal district and county museums, and salt culture has become a business card of Caojing Town.
Since last year, the museum has also launched the "Salt Road with You" - the "Five Advances" project of the rural museum classroom, which will send salt culture knowledge classes and experience courses to communities, enterprises, schools, towns and elderly care institutions, so that more and more people can feel the charm of salt culture through manual experience.
"Salt culture comes from the field and nature, so it must be rooted in the countryside, and only in this way can the salt culture that is gradually disappearing be younger, more fashionable, and full of new ideas of the times." Zhang Rong said: "In the near future, we will upgrade the Salt Culture Center on the basis of the first phase of the exhibition hall area of 480 square meters, and open up the second phase of the experience area of 6,600 square meters. It will focus on projects such as Yantian work practice experience projects and cultural and creative experience courses to expand the connotation of salt culture and attract more young people to understand salt culture. ”
