The first City walk of "Song Travel" in 2024 was held a few days ago. The Soong Ching Ling Cultural Communication Walk was jointly organized by the China Welfare Association Publishing House, relying on the Soong Ching Ling Cultural Space, and Hunan Street, Xuhui District.
"Comrade Soong Ching Ling was a great fighter for patriotism, democracy, internationalism and communism. She has made indelible outstanding contributions to the party, the country and the people, and the cause of human progress. With the explanation of Zhu Yifei, the docent of the "Song Travels" activity, the first batch of members of "Song Travels" opened the first check-in point of City walk at the former residence of Song Qingling.
The former residence of Song Qingling is located at No. 1843 Huaihai Middle Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai. As the envoy of peace and friendship of New China, Soong Ching Ling warmly received leaders and delegations of various countries here, and left precious video materials. Under the leadership of the librarians, the members visited the Soong Ching Ling Cultural Relics Museum, the main building of the former residence of Soong Ching Ling, the small courtyard of the auxiliary building, and the garden of the former residence, and appreciated the special memories left by Soong Ching Ling in the residence, and witnessed her immortal contributions to the establishment and construction of New China and the defense of world peace.
Leaving the former residence of Song Qingling, the members came to the second stop of the City walk check-in point - Wukang Building, Zhu Yifei continued, every day many citizens and tourists come to Wukang Building to check in and take pictures, but many people don't know that this old building is also related to "March of the Volunteers", Wukang Building was once a high-end apartment rented by people in the film industry, where people in the film industry discuss scripts and performances, and "March of the Volunteers" first sounded in Wukang Building. At that time, Xu Xingzhi, the director of "Children of the Storm", rushed into the 7th floor of the Wukang Building with Nie Er and asked the actor Wang Renmei to audition, and in this way, the high melody resounded through the window lattice of the Wukang Building in Shanghai.
Finally, the group members came to the Soong Ching Ling Cultural Space at No. 300 Wuyuan Road, where they listened to the special lecture on "Soong Ching Ling and Music" brought by Fu Yaoyao, Research and Promotion Commissioner of the Development Research Center of the China Welfare Association, and Shen Li, Secretary General of the Shanghai Vinyl Culture Committee, to learn more about the historical stories behind the music.
Wu Gang, a representative of the new social class in Hunan Street, the public affairs manager of Mondelēz Greater China, and the secretary of the general branch of Mondelēz, told reporters that walking in the core area of Hengfu District, he visited the former residence of Song Qingling, Wukang Building and other old buildings, and gained a lot, especially through the activity to understand the origin of the "March of the Volunteers". As a young person in the new era, I can temporarily put down my busy work and slow down in the "Song Travels" City walk, stroll along Wukang Road, travel through history, and learn history, which will be helpful for my future work.
According to the reporter's understanding, relying on the strong cultural heritage and rich social resources of the jurisdiction, Hunan Street has jointly established a music block co-governance committee with 46 party building units such as the China Welfare Association Publishing House, adhered to co-construction, co-governance and sharing, promoted the formation of a "ten-in-one" project, and strived to create a music block that never ends. Relying on the strength of the members of the Music Block Co-governance Committee, Hunan Street further deepened the linkage mechanism between home, school and society, started the construction of the "15-minute Ideological and Political Education Practice Circle" in the Music District, and laid out 20 off-campus ideological and political education practice teaching bases such as Wukang Building and Soong Ching Ling Cultural Space.
