Song Qingling's lofty status and huge influence, coupled with Song Meiling's words, directly made Chiang Kai-shek dare not put her to death. Later, Jiang gave Dai Li an order: "The assassination continues, but the scope is limited to telling Song Qingling to shut up, go abroad or lie in the hospital all the time, and it must not cause his death." In the end, this task fell to Shen Zui, director of the General Affairs Department of the Military Command Bureau. Shen Zui was a murderous demon who arrested many revolutionaries and tortured them to death in prison.
After receiving the task, Shen Zui first instructed the spies to write letters or call to intimidate and insult Song Qingling, and also sent her bullets twice to threaten her, hoping to achieve the goal of forcing her to shut up or go abroad, but this method was ineffective. Later, Shen Zui sent a female spy to get close to Song Qingling's most trusted nanny, Li Yan'e and Li Ma, intending to bribe Li Ma to poison Song Qingling's food, so that Song Qingling would be in a coma forever, no longer wake up, and no longer speak. But this ploy was quickly seen through by Song Qingling and returned in vain.
After this plan failed, Shen Zui thought of using the method of "car accident" to harm the mother of the country, Song Qingling, and the steps were as follows: first create a "car accident" to injure the mother of the country and let her be admitted to the hospital, and then make her stay in the hospital for a long time through medical personnel, so that this problem can be completely solved, and you can also give an account to Dai Li. Later, Shen drunk everything was ready, but he didn't see Dai Li's order to be executed. In the end, Dai Li said to Shen Zui: "The "car accident" plan has been canceled. ”
Shen Zui didn't understand very much, Dai Li asked: "Can you only hit the people in the car in front of you into cripples or serious injuries without killing them?" Shen Zui shook his head, Dai Li smiled and said: "That's right, if Song is killed, don't say that the two of us can't survive, even Chairman Jiang will be in big trouble." Shen Zui did not want to lose such an opportunity to make meritorious contributions, and repeatedly said that whether he was killed or imprisoned, he would not regret it, let alone shirk responsibility. Dai Li said: "This was personally canceled by Chairman Chiang. ”
Drunk and helpless, he had to cancel the plan as ordered. After liberation, Shen was imprisoned in a war criminals management center and pardoned in 1960. After accepting the transformation of New China, he completely changed from a demon to a human, and his mentality has also changed dramatically. On September 9, 1976, after Chairman Mao's death, he was so drunk and sad that he cried profusely, crying and saying: "Chairman Mao's transformation policy has turned me from a ghost to a human, and the leniency policy he formulated has allowed me to live a happy and fulfilling new life in my old age." ”
In fact, Shen Zui and Chairman Mao are still fellow villagers, both from Xiangtan County, Hunan. In 1926, when the peasant movement in Hunan was booming, he was influenced by the revolutionary movement, and once took his classmates to his home, and shouted in front of the local lord's father, "Down with the local tyrants and inferior gentry!" In 1996, Shen Zui died of lung cancer in Beijing.
