It is understood that Leapmotor will be equipped with high-precision map automatic assisted driving and original NAC assisted driving on the new car Leapmotor C10. NAC (Navigation Assist Cruise), also known as full-time ACC, is capable of autonomous driving in high-speed/elevated scenarios, and the latter can cope with urban scenarios.
Judging from the information released so far, it is not uncommon for Leapmotor C10 to achieve high-speed automatic driving, and many models of Xpeng, Weilai, and Ideal have similar functions, and I believe that the gap between specific functions and experience will not be too large. Zhu Jiangming, CEO of Leap, said that during the 35-minute test drive, there was no need to take over the accelerator and brake throughout the whole process, which was very convenient in urban areas.
That is, the NAC function requires the driver to control the steering wheel, and the XNGP function launched by Xpeng claims to be able to achieve full automatic driving, that is, it can automatically drive in the city supported by the intelligent driving system without controlling the steering wheel.
It seems that from the perspective of function, NAC is not as advanced as Xpeng XNGP, but the current domestic regulations do not support real autonomous driving, and the driver has to put his hand on the steering wheel.
This can also be seen in the "real" character of Leaprun, which only provides users with functions that are in line with the current environment, and does not give futures that cannot be experienced.
