Compared to the 2023 season, the start time of the Chinese Super League this year is a month and a half earlier (last year's start was April 15). The season is divided into 6 phases:
The first phase will run from March 1 to 10, with a break after the second round of the league;
The second phase will run from March 29 to May 26, and after the 14th round of matches, the second break will be ushered in;
The third phase will run from June 14 to July 13, with rounds 15 to 19;
The fourth stage will run from July 26 to August 25, with rounds 20 to 24 played;
The fifth stage runs from September 13 to September 29, with another break after the end of the 27th round;
The remaining three rounds of the sixth stage will be played between October 18 and November 2, with rounds 29 and 30 kicking off at the same time on October 27 and November 2 respectively.
Judging from the calendar, the 2024 Chinese Super League season has not many midweek matches, only the 5th round (April 9, 10) and the 13th round (May 21, 22). In addition, in order to cope with unexpected situations, there are three alternative league make-up days in the calendar, which are May 14 and 15, July 9 and 10, and August 6 and 7.
