△ China Central Radio and Television held the "Hello China" New Year Concert in Bangladesh
International Online Report (Reporter Li Wanlu) 2024 is the 55th anniversary of the Bengali radio broadcast of China Central Radio and Television. On January 1, the Asian-African Center of China Central Television and Bangladesh Sunshine TV produced a special program in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, and held a New Year's concert of "Hello China". The Speaker of the National Assembly of Bangladesh, Chowdhury, sent a congratulatory letter. Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen praised the New Year's Concert as a heart-warming event. Nearly 400 guests from all walks of life attended the concert, including Minister of State for Culture of Bangladesh Khalid and Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh Yan Hualong.

In his congratulatory letter, Speaker Chowdhury said that Bangladesh and China have carried out close cooperation in different fields, and the media cooperation is particularly remarkable. Over the past 55 years, Chinese media workers have made unremitting efforts to broadcast programs in Bengali, enhancing understanding and friendship between the two peoples.

Speaking at the event, Bangladesh's Minister of State for Culture, Mr. Kalid said that China is Bangladesh's largest development partner, and the two countries have made new progress in exchanges in the field of culture. It is hoped that the media of Bangladesh and China can further strengthen cooperation and promote people-to-people exchanges and people-to-people relations between the two countries.

The New Year's Concert invited famous bands from Bangladesh to sing Chinese songs, and students from Beijing University of Foreign Chinese and Yunnan University for Nationalities sang Mengyu songs. The promotional film for the 55th anniversary of the launch of the Mongol Radio of the main station, as well as the pilot promotional film of the documentary "Small Village Event" jointly produced by the Chinese and Bangladeshi media, were also played at the scene.
