The "2023 Academic Annual Meeting of the Burn Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association" was held at the Wuxi International Conference Center in Jiangsu Province from December 6 to 9, sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association and the Burn Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, undertaken by the Jiangsu Medical Association, the Wuxi Medical Association and the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangnan University, and co-organized by the Chinese Journal of Burn and Wound Repair, the Chinese Journal of Injury and Repair and Burns & Trauma.

Xiao Houan's team of 4 people from the Department of Burn Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery of Xi'an Ninth Hospital attended the academic conference, and Director Xiao Houan served as the host of the branch venue. In the finals of the first National Young Physician Burn Trauma Science Competition, Dr. Wang Peng, attending physician of the Department of Burn Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery of Xi'an Ninth Hospital, won the third place in the finals for his popular science work "The Problem of Wound Repair That Can't Be Ignored - Cat and Dog Injury Wounds".
