There is also a yellow country in Africa, namely Madagascar, a country made up of volcanic islands. Despite its small size, with a population of just over 20 million, it is an average country in Africa. Similar to Madagascar, Britain was once the world hegemon and still has a voice in the international arena today, while Madagascar has almost no voice and has become one of the forgotten countries. The main reason is that it is poor and backward and almost ignored. Madagascar is in this situation for two reasons:
1. Inability to integrate into the local ethnic group. Madagascar is predominantly yellow, while most of Africa is predominantly black. Madagascar was ostracized by local blacks because of the difference in skin color. Even though his complexion is gradually darkening, he is still yellow at heart, and it is difficult for him to be accepted by the locals. Without communication and exchange from the outside world, Madagascar cannot develop.
2. Being too weak. Although ethnic barriers have affected Madagascar's development to some extent, they are not a major contributor to poverty. Madagascar's geographical location limits communication with the outside world, and it is unable to keep up with the international world. In addition, Madagascar, once a French colony, was looted and lacked resources. After independence, the domestic regime was in disarray, which was exacerbated by the already weak Madagascar, which was relatively stable until the early 90s.
Despite its efforts, Madagascar has not yet recovered to its pre-war level and has been ranked by the United Nations as one of the least developed countries in the world. Most of the neighbouring countries are also developing countries and are unable to provide assistance. Madagascar has found its way forward, vigorously developing tourism, and has achieved good results.
