Hunan Daily, New Hunan Client, October 12 ( Chen Yigui, Shen Xinggang, Liu Pei) On October 10, the Hunan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau approved the establishment of the Cai Wei Life and Performance Exhibition Hall in Daxiang District, Shaoyang City as a museum, and the Cai Wei Life and Performance Exhibition Hall officially entered the sequence of state-owned museums.
Cai Wei's life and achievements exhibition hall is located in Cai Wei Village, Cai Wei Township, Daxiang District, Shaoyang City, and in the early 90s of last century, Cai Wei's life and deeds exhibition room and Cai Wei Memorial Hall were opened to carry out rich and diverse patriotic education. In order to carry forward the patriotic spirit of Cai Wei, in recent years, the Shaoyang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have been committed to the quality improvement and transformation of the Cai Wei Life and Performance Exhibition Hall, which was completed and opened to the public in September 2020, with a construction area of 3,740 square meters, an exhibition area of 1,900 square meters and a warehouse area of 200 square meters. At present, there are 1,320 cultural relics in the collection, 276 sets of national precious cultural relics (including 8 sets of first-class cultural relics, 39 sets of second-class cultural relics and 229 sets of third-class cultural relics), which fully demonstrate the historical background and growth trajectory of General Cai Wei, highlight the great life achievements of General Cai Wei, have a certain influence at home and abroad, and form good social benefits.
The exhibition hall of Cai Wei's life and achievements has begun to take shape, and has a certain number of cultural relics and related technical personnel in its collection, and has met the conditions for applying for a museum. Since its official opening in September 2020, the exhibition hall has received more than 500,000 visitors every year.
After completing the filing work, the Cai Wei Life and Performance Exhibition Hall will carefully compare with the evaluation standards of national museums, further broaden the ideas of running the museum, actively carry out business activities, effectively enhance the social influence of Cai Wei's hometown through temporary exhibitions, academic research, social and educational activities, etc., and continuously promote the high-quality development of cultural and tourism integration in Shaoyang City, continue the red bloodline, and inherit the red gene.
