Luis Suarez will not travel to Major League Soccer side Miami Internacional anytime soon. Despite public overtures of Miami International ownership, Luis Suarez will not travel to Miami with his close friend Messi, not in the near future. Suarez, 36, is currently under contract with Brazil's Grêmio until December 2024. In the summer of 2022, after his high-profile return to the Uruguay national team, where he played as a child, he signed a two-year contract with Gremio. Earlier this week, multiple reports from Argentina suggested that Suarez had effectively locked in joining Messi to Internacional Miami, even before this winter. On Tuesday, Miami Internacional boss Jorge Mas echoed the ongoing rumours and referred to Suarez's close relationship with Messi, as well as his other former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Jodi Alba, as well as the history of playing with him.
