#Spanish football legend Suarez dies#
According to Spanish media reports on July 9, local time, Spanish football legend Luis Suárez Miramontes died on the 9th at the age of 88.
Born in 1935 in A Coruña, Spain, Suarez began his career as a midfielder for FC Barcelona and Inter Milan, winning the 1964 European Cup for the Spanish national team, and is considered one of the greatest figures in Spanish football of the 20th century.
Suarez was the first Spanish player to win the Ballon d'Or in 1960 and the only Spanish male footballer to win the Ballon d'Or to date.
