The reporter learned from the National Forestry and Grassland Administration on the 29th that at 11:25 on the 29th, the giant pandas "Jin Xi" and "Zhu Yu" took off from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport to Spain on a special plane.
In order to ensure the health and safety of the giant pandas during transportation, the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base has made full preparations, customized special transport cages, prepared a sufficient amount of fresh and high-quality bamboo and bamboo shoots, and the accompanying keepers and veterinary experts will also regularly monitor the indicators of the giant pandas during the flight.
After arriving at the Madrid Zoo in Spain, Chinese experts will stay for about three months to accompany the giant pandas through the quarantine period, complete stress adaptation and behavior training, and help them quickly adapt to their new living environment. At the same time, technical guidance and operational training will be provided to keepers and veterinarians of the Madrid Zoo.
