With the acceleration of people's pace of life and work, gastrointestinal health problems have become increasingly prominent, and stomach nourishment has become a matter of concern for many people. Therefore, and the protection of gastrointestinal health-related food will naturally receive everyone's attention, which also gives the lion's head mushroom food a chance to "create momentum", some merchants in the advertisement claims that the food produced with lion's head mushroom as the main raw material has the effect of nourishing the stomach. But is this the truth?

01

The name Lion's Head Mushroom is mostly direct

Mushrooms that look like "monkey heads"

Although there are many advertisements for related foods, many people may not have seen the real Lion's Head Mushroom. It is a kind of edible mushroom, which is often called mushroom, just because of its long furry, round, resembling the monkey's head with its own natural cuteness, it has harvested the "lion's head mushroom" reputation.

Fresh lion's head mushrooms are off-white and used in stews, and the taste is very delicious. But almost all we can buy is dried lion's head mushrooms, which are more yellow in color. The nutritional value of Lion's Head Mushroom is relatively high in the fungi, and the protein content of 100g of dried Lion's Head Mushroom is 26.3g/100g, which is higher than the content of dried fungus, dried white fungus, dried yellow mushroom, dried shiitake mushroom, dried tea tree mushroom and so on that we often eat. [1、2]

If the diet lacks vitamin B2, there will be problems such as conjunctival hyperemia, angular cheilitis, glossitis, etc., and there will be seborrheic dermatitis, increased skin sebum, mild erythema, fat-like yellow scales, and even severe hair loss. [3] The vitamin B2 content in dried Lion's Mane mushroom is also excellent, at 1.89mg/100g, ranking first among the above several fungi.

Does Lion's Head Mushroom have a stomach-nourishing effect?

Look at it rationally

So, is Lion's Head Mushroom really so "god" in terms of stomach nourishment? Some people have conducted pharmacological experiments on various extracts of Lion's Mane mushroom, and the results are as follows:

1) In terms of digestive tract, Lion's Mane mushroom polysaccharide can alleviate the symptoms of acute/chronic gastric ulcer in rats, inhibit gastric acid, and reduce pepsin activity;

2) Ethanol extract of Lion's Mane mushroom can significantly inhibit Helicobacter pylori, while experiments on rats show that the extract can protect the intestinal mucosal epithelium;

3) Hericium erinaceous mushroom mycelium polysaccharide extract can prevent chronic atrophic gastritis[1];

4) Mouse animal experiments have also shown that Lion's Mane mushroom extract also has the effect of regulating immunity, antioxidant, anti-dementia and preventing atherosclerosis.

However, although the experimental results of Lion's Head Mushroom Extract and Lion's Head Mushroom Polysaccharides seem to be very strong, it does not show that eating Lion's Mane Mushroom can also play the same role, because it is often difficult to reach the effective threshold by directly eating Lion's Head Mushroom. In other words, although the polysaccharide of Lion's Head Mushroom has a certain effect of strengthening the spleen and nourishing the stomach, it does not mean that eating food such as Lion's Head Mushroom can also achieve the effect of nourishing the stomach.

What's more, in many lion's head mushroom biscuits on the market, the ingredients of lion's head mushroom are not high, and it is more difficult to achieve the desired stomach nourishing effect when diluted layer by layer. In contrast, a regular diet, smoking and alcohol restrictions, drinking less strong tea and strong coffee, not overeating, staying up late, and reducing mental stress may be more helpful in improving gastrointestinal function.

Grab the key word: cookie food

Eating in large quantities also carries the risk of getting fat

After talking about lion's head mushrooms, let's talk about the cookies themselves. In addition to containing a small amount of lion's head mushroom ingredients, as a biscuit, it will also contain a lot of sugar and oil, so the total calories are not low, it is easy not to raise a good stomach, but to grow meat.

According to the provisions of our country's "Food Additive Use Standards", the higher the ranking in the ingredient list, the more the ingredient content. Then look at the following picture of this brand of lion's mane biscuits, in addition to wheat flour, the highest content is white sugar and oil, lion's mane mushroom only ranked 5th in the ingredient list.

summary:

Whether it is lion's head mushroom food or lion's head mushroom itself, relying on them alone to nourish the stomach, the hope is quite slim.

If you really want to nourish your stomach, it is more recommended to focus on standardizing your eating habits and living habits, eat regularly, quit smoking and limit alcohol, drink less strong tea and strong coffee, do not overeat, and stay up late.
