Who has vigorously promoted the affair between Chairman Mao and Yang Kaihui? Zhang Shizhao advised Yang Changji: Without further ado

Some time ago, Lao Qin wrote the article "Chairman Mao repeatedly revised a euphemism, deep in love and righteousness, and only published in 1978, which has nothing to do with Yang Kaihui.".

The article focuses on a euphemism written by Chairman Mao in December 1923, "Greeting the Bridegroom and Farewell Friends". The words are written to a friend of the opposite sex, the words are sad, don't dream of Yiyi.

Many people do not know why, so they think that this poem was written by Chairman Mao to his beloved wife Yang Kaihui.

However, judging from the words in the first draft of the word, "I fill the sea with my own sperm, and may the king suppress the pearl tree for the kingfisher", it is not.

Because, obviously, this friend of the opposite sex and Chairman Mao are different in their aspirations and different ways.

In fact, Chairman Mao's poem was written to Tao Yi, a member of the Xinmin Society.

Tao Yi is known as "the first talented woman in Jiangnan" and admires Chairman Mao's talent very much.

However, Chairman Mao believed that the ideological gap between the two was too great, and Tao Yi was the daughter of a rich businessman and could not bear the suffering of the revolution, so he finally chose Yang Kaihui, who was tenacious in will and political ideas in line with his own, as his wife.

Yang Kaihui is the pearl in the palm of Chairman Mao's mentor, Mr. Yang Changji.

When Chairman Mao was studying at the Hunan Provincial First Normal School, he often went to Yang Changji's home with his friends Cai Hesen, Chen Chang, Zhang Kundi, Luo Xuezhan and others to seek advice.

Teachers and students get along happily.

This joyful situation lasted for five years.

The so-called long-term love affair, Yang Kaihui, who had just opened his heart, gradually developed a secret affection for Chairman Mao.

In 1918, Chairman Mao graduated from the First Division, and Yang Changji was invited by Cai Yuanpei, president of Peking University, to become a professor of ethics at Peking University, and his family moved north.

Yang Kaihui and Chairman Mao were temporarily separated.

As early as the beginning of 1912, Cai Yuanpei, Wu Yuzhang, Li Shizeng and others organized a study abroad study and thrift society in Beijing to organize young people with lofty ideals to go to France for work-study. After Yang Changji arrived in Beijing, he felt that this was an opportunity for Hunan youth to develop outward, and wrote to Chairman Mao and Cai Hesen, asking them to quickly organize members of the Xinmin Society to participate in the activity in order to move toward a bigger stage.

Thus, in September of that year, Chairman Mao led more than 30 people, including Luo Xuezhan, Zhang Kundi, Chen Shaolin, Zhou Shizhao, Luo Zhanglong, Xiao Zisheng, and Xiao Zizhang, to rush north and reunite with Yang Kaihui in Beijing.

The reunion after the small farewell made the relationship between the two heat up rapidly.

Yang Changji is an expert in psychology and ethics, and naturally penetrates the hearts of the two young people at a glance, and pays great attention to their interactions.

Lao Qin would like to add here that the reason why Yang Changji was invited by Cai Yuanpei to serve as a professor at Peking University, on the one hand, is that Yang Changji is as talented as the sea and has a long reputation, but it is mainly the recommendation of his old classmate Zhang Shizhao.

Zhang Shizhao, a native of Shanhua County, Hunan Province, studied with Yang Changji at the Tokyo Higher Normal School in his early years.

After graduating from the Tokyo Higher Normal School, he recommended Yang Changji to the Qing government's governor of Europe, Ku Guangdian, who continued to study in Britain.

Speaking of Zhang Shizhao, people who have read Lu Xun's essays know that he is the "falling water dog" that Lu Xun said.

But Zhang Shizhao is not only a "falling dog", his life experience is very rich.

He met Huang Xing in his early years while studying at Wuchang Lianghu Academy. Because of Huang Xing, he embarked on the road of anti-Qing dynasty.

He, Huang Xing, and others organized the Huaxing Association, and in the Shanghai "Su Bao" made fierce revolutionary remarks under the name of "Huang Zhonghuang", and they became brothers with Zhang Taiyan, Zhang Ji, and Zou Rong.

He also planned the Changsha Uprising, the Hubei Uprising, and the Nanjing Uprising, but due to the failure of the incident, he himself and Zhang Ji and more than ten other people were arrested and imprisoned, fortunately rescued by Cai Yituo, and after being released from prison, he traveled east to Japan, and then went to England to study.

Yang studied philosophy, ethics and psychology at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, while Zhang Studied Law, Politics, and Logic at the University of Aberdeen.

After the victory of the Wuchang Uprising in 1911, Zhang Shizhao returned to China at the invitation of Sun Yat-sen to preside over the Minli Bao, the organ of the League, but the political party cabinet system he advocated was not recognized, so he resigned and joined Yuan Shikai.

In March 1913, the assassination of Song Jiaoren occurred. Zhang Shizhao saw clearly the ugly features of Yuan Shikai and went south to launch a "second revolution" with Sun Yat-sen, Huang Xing, and others.

After the failure of the "Second Revolution", Zhang Shizhao went into exile in Japan again, and together with Chen Duxiu, Gu Zhongxiu and others, founded the monthly magazine Jiayin in Tokyo.

Zhang Shizhao and Chen Duxiu returned to Peking University to teach in 1917, and Jiayin Weekly was transferred back to Beijing for distribution.

In addition to being a professor at Peking University's Graduate School of Liberal Arts, Zhang Shizhao is also the director of the library and was elected to the House of Representatives.

In this context, he recommended Li Dazhao and Yang Changji to teach at Peking University, and recommended Li Dazhao to succeed him as the librarian of Peking University.

For this reason, after Chairman Mao arrived in Beijing, on the recommendation of Yang Changji, he went to the Peking University Library where Li Dazhao was the director of the library as an assistant.

Having said that, yang Changji was full of contradictions after he realized his daughter's deep affection for Chairman Mao.

He liked Chairman Mao very much and felt that Chairman Mao's future was unlimited.

But he also knew very well that Chairman Mao had lofty ambitions and was a great talent in an anbang jishi, and considering that his daughter was a delicate woman with ten fingers that did not stick to the spring water of the yang, he was afraid that she would not be able to eat that bitterness when she married.

Just when he was suffering from gain and loss, Zhang Shizhao came to visit.

During the small talk, Zhang Shizhao talked about his children and asked Yang Changji: "Brother Yang's daughter Wen Xiu is gratifying, I don't know if Xu has matched someone?" ”

Yang Changji was asked what was in his heart, told the truth, and said: "The little girl had a close relationship with a student when I was teaching in the First Division of Hunan, and this student's knowledge and character were first-class, but some gentlemen advised me, saying that this student's behavior was different, and should not give him his daughter. ”

When Zhang Shizhao heard Yang Changji's evaluation of Chairman Mao, he couldn't help but be greatly interested and asked, "What is the name of this student?" Can you let me meet him? ”

Yang Changji still had time to introduce Chairman Mao to Zhang Shizhao, who first met Chairman Mao at his own speech.

That day, Zhang Shizhao gave a speech, and someone secretly told him that Mao Runzhi had also come to listen to the speech today. And point your finger at him.

Zhang Shizhao looked up and felt that this young man was extraordinary.

During the speech, he peeked from time to time and found that the young man listened very carefully, smiled from time to time, occasionally took notes, and raised his pen neatly and competently.

Zhang Shizhao decided that this son was outstanding and had a promising future.

At the end of the speech, he immediately went to Yang Changji and said excitedly: "Brother Yang, without further ado, you should hurry up and handle the marriage of these two young people." ”

Yang Changji was thus relieved of his doubts and acquiesced to Yang Kaihui's choice.

In 1919, Zhang Shizhao held the North-South Peace Conference in Shanghai in his capacity as secretary general of the French Military Junta.

Chairman Mao and others did not have enough funds to raise funds during the work-study campaign in France, and they were unable to do anything about it.

Yang Changji therefore wrote a letter to Chairman Mao, Cai hesen to take to Shanghai to ask Zhang Shizhao for help.

Zhang Shizhao was duty-bound and quickly raised 20,000 silver dollars among the shanghai industrial and commercial celebrities, all of which were handed over to Chairman Mao.

Zhang Shizhao's move can be described as a thin cloud of righteousness and great kindness.

The biggest stain on Zhang Shizhao's life was that when Duan Qirui was in power, he threw himself into the Beiyang warlord clique, served as the chief of justice and the chief of education, "rectified" the study style, ordered the dissolution of the "Women's Normal University", and suppressed the patriotic student movement.

However, during the War of Resistance Against Japan, he resisted the temptation of the traitor Liang Hongzhi and transferred to the rear of Chongqing via Hong Kong.

In 1945, when Chairman Mao went to Chongqing to negotiate peace with Chiang Kai-shek, Zhang Shizhao was always worried about Chairman Mao's safety and wrote a "go" in the palm of his hand to urge Chairman Mao to leave the dangerous situation quickly.

Chairman Mao was grateful to Zhang Shizhao.

When the People's Republic of China was founded, he was cordially invited to attend the first plenary session of the Chinese Political Consultative Conference and invited him to attend the founding ceremony.

During the three years of difficulty, Chairman Mao remembered that Zhang Shizhao's family was poor, so he used his own writing fee to send Zhang Shizhao 2,000 yuan a year in the name of "repaying money and returning profits" to relieve his difficulties.

Zhang Shizhao retorted: "The 20,000 silver dollars were raised back then, not my money, and I was ashamed." ”

Chairman Mao insisted on returning the favor, saying: "The righteous deeds of the elder Xinglao (Note: Zhang Shizhao's characters are strict) were not repaid at all with 20,000 yuan. ”

In this way, Chairman Mao sent two thousand yuan to the Zhang family every year, until 1973, and returned the capital and the money for a total of twenty-two thousand yuan.
