The panelists who currently installed the statue have cleaned up the paint, and police did not release a video of the statue being damaged.

It is reported that this is not the first time that a memorial statue of George Freud has been destroyed. The statue, which was once located on Flatbush Street in Brooklyn, New York City, was painted black on June 26 of this year and marked with the logo of the "white supremacist" organization. Local residents and a brother of Freud then moved the statue to Union Square in central Manhattan, New York, in July. (CCTV reporter Yin Yue Xu Xiao)
