In the 1992–93 season, Brescia, promoted to Serie A, managed to bring in four Romanian internationals: Hadgi, Radujoyo, Sabał and Matteōc, under the management of Romanian Lucescu, who was the head coach at the time. In the era when Milan played Serie A with the Dutch Three Musketeers and the German Troika respectively, Brescia also had a unique way of using Carpathian technical players as the central axis of the team.

Unfortunately, the weak Brescia team, despite having Haggi from Real Madrid, was relegated to the second division due to its poor strength and eventually lost to Udinese in the relegation play-offs. Although they returned to Serie A again the following season, with the stunning bloom of the Yellow Rose in the United States in 1994, Haji left for Barcelona as the centerpiece. Brescia's Romanian era came to an end.
