Chasing Ducho Roliweg Doncic is expected to be the 7th player in history to trigger rose terms

Live Bar Feb. 5 The NBA today announced the results of the first all-star vote, and Doncic received 1395719 votes, ranking second in the Western Conference backcourt.

If selected as an All-Star starter again this season, Doncic would be the seventh player in history to trigger Rose's terms after Durant, Rose, George, Lillard, Westbrook and Griffin.

The Rose Clause is a reward clause in the Collective Bargaining Agreement, which basically states that if a player completes any of the three achievements required during the rookie contract, he or she can sign a 5-year contract with the parent team that reaches 30% of the maximum salary cap, and the three achievements are: at least twice selected for the Best Team; at least twice selected as an All-Star starter; and at least one regular season MVP. Due to the extreme difficulty of triggering and the rarity of players who meet the conditions, Doncic is currently in the third year of his rookie contract, has already had an All-Star starter and the best team, and if he is selected for the All-Star starter or the best team this year, he can unlock the Rose clause.
